If Billy is thinks that he's the GOOD son because of what Phillip did, he's horribly mistaken. Right now, it seems that Phillip is acting like the good son, not to mention Billy is starting to act the way Phillip did 20 years ago.
I got give it to Billy he doesn't run from anything. And even if he wasn't close to Philip he's still his brother, and he had a right to call Cane on his letting him face the people he messed with. I know Lily is sick, but it's not an excuse for Cane to man up and tell Philip, no. I'll face those guys myself, it's not your job.

Cane might not necessarily set out with malicious intent, but he's definitely an opportunist that takes advantages of situations that conveniently present themselves to him. The fact he hammed up his role in the situation with Delia is proof of that. From the way he acted like an innocent victim, to him still going after the baby when the truth about her paternity came out, Cane definitely proved he's no better.
And after all that shit Cane said to and about Chloe when he knew all along he wasn't the baby's father and made the CHOICE to keep up his lie instead of coming clean to be with his precious Lily, Chloe calling him a user is being extremely nice. Sometimes I still can't get over all the whining and bitching Cane did and shake my head; especially the shit he pulled after Delia was born with the custody suit. He wanted custody of a child he wasn't even remotely related to.
The way I see it they've all done pretty questionable things. Nina going after two of Victoria's husbands, Chloe lying about her baby's paternity, Philip pretending to be dead and abandoning his family. Jill stealing Kay's husband, and sleeping with her own stepson, Kay trying to do away with Jill, Billy sleeping with his brother's wife, and abandoning his family. The only person who hasn't acted like a jerk is Chance and he ultimately tried to be understanding about the whole thing.
I think Cane still had the right to be pissed and mad at Chloe given the fact that she still set out to mess with Cane's life. But I agree Cane went too far given the fact that he knew all along.
The way I see it is if she knows shes a user and owns it, she wouldn't have the nerve to call someone else that.
The fact that he lied and manipulated yeah, that was wrong, but to say he is no better than everyone else who has did wrong in GC is too funny. Compared to everyone elses dirt it makes Cane look like a saint.
The only person that matters to Billy is Mac? What about his daughter? He has a LOT of growing up to do. And what an adorable daughter that is. Delia steals every scene she is in. I understand why Billy hates Cane but Mac offering her womb is all on her.
Okay we get it, you're a Cane/Lane fan. But Jill favors her fake son over her real one. No matter how immature he can be at times that is going to build some resentment.
Delia's scenes are mainly with HER MOTHER, same way most of Delia's scenes were with Chloe when Chloe and Billy were married, because Billy was busy running after Mac all the time and couldn't be bothered to put up with the "misery" of taking care of Delia while he was pickling his liver at Jimmy's. Interesting that Billy's lack of interest in Delia wasn't a problem BEFORE Chance came along and showed how a man spends quality time with a child when he isn't self involved with his own bullshit.

I love how Chloe's 1st reaction when she walked into the room was how Chance was dealing with the news that Phillip had dropped. If that doesnt show the realness of their relationship....nothing will. And I loved C&C's convo......she's so supportive of him & his father-drama & encourages him to make up with Phillip. They are so great together becuz they get what each other needs all the time!
Meryl Streep could not have saved this godawful storyline.
Maria Arena Bell did this storyline because Bill Bell always said that he regretted killing off Philip Chancellor and she wanted to rectify that piece of Y&R history. It could have been epic but the shotty writing doomed it from the start.
I don't think it was ever a matter of shotty writing. In the beginning, before TB started airing regularly, the storyline was very good IMO, TB's acting is just what made it fall flat.
The nightmare is over! FINALLY, Philip Chancellor and his implausible storyline are done. I look forward to really getting to enjoy Chance now that I don't have to suspend disbelief concerning his dealings with his father.
Throughout Colleen's death, I felt like Billy said a lot of what the audience was feeling and today is no different. Why doesn't Cane have to take responsibility for anything he's ever done? Ugh.

The crazy thing is, Billy isn't always wrong, but its like chewing month old gum, its got no flavor anymore constantly coming from him, especially since he can't ever express himself maturely and calmly. Maybe if someone else was allowed to be the so-called voice of reason it'd have more impact, but as right as Billy might be, coming from him it seems hypocritical at best and a deflection from his own bullshit at worse. They need to move Billy out of this bratty self pity phase. Its not cute.
I think Billy's being an ass, don't get me wrong, but I also think that the wound from Cane's initial lies never really healed in large part because his family continues to throw salt in them (and Mac's surrogacy is like a huge slab of salt). You can't get over a problem when people keep thumbing the wound like that.
Think about this: Billy is getting more ostracized by his family for writing a TRUE story about Victor than Cane is for committing fraud. What kind of backwards reality is this?
Seriously, are we forgetting the last couple of months? Cane has been taking responsibility. Now its time for Billy to stop whining and blaming everyone else for the position he is in.
Really? What penalty has he faced? He was separated from his wife for a couple of months? He certainly doesn't have to go back and deal with these people who are after him. Just because you say you're sorry doesn't mean you've accepted responsibility....if so, Mary Jane/Patty Williams would be free as a bird.
Cane committed a federal crime which, if this show was being realistic (like they used to), he'd be up on fraud charges and Chancellor Industries would be under investigation by the SEC.

Wat he did to the Chancellors, to Chloe, to Lily....it feels as if he hasnt paid for much of it. Yes I kno that Lily didnt really 4give until recently, but what bout every1 else. It seems that it took them record time to let Cane's misdeeds go, but every1 hangs on to Billy's. It can be said that Jill and Kay did fully forgive him until now. Yesterday's episode was the first time in months that Jill has been to that house. Jill and Kay were always there for Cane but they were nowhere around when his wife was going through her first round of chemo.

OMG Delia is too adorable and her sneeze... total aww moment. Her little outfit is fantastic as well. I love her little hat. That scene of Chloe, Chance and Delia was worth the price of admission. I really love how supportive Chloe's been of Chance and Phillip's relationship from the beginning. I'm glad the writers let Chloe be part of that story.
