Hellsing TV- Alucard vs Luke Valentine

If Gonzo didn't animate the TV series, then Satelight and Madhouse will. There will be much less shitstorms within the Hellsing fanbase, and most of all, the episodes will come out much quicker on a biweekly basis instead of every six months. They will also be more accurate to avoid copying what the crappy gonzo series made and have more consistency.

well peps just shut up about the tv version being crap, technally, both of them are the same, at least they didnt removed alucard as the main character, 2nd, the ova were nt tht perfect as well, every anime has its flaws, and 3rd, if they had no tv seris, they probably wouldnt even had the idea of making the ovas.

Alucard's powers are restricted because of his bond with the Hellsing family. He can only go up to 'one' by himself. To go to 'zero', Integra has to do it.

The Cromwell restrictios are different enhancements made to Alucard. Vampires don't have the kind of powers he has. It's mentioned in the first OVA that Alucard was enhanced with occult magic. The restrictions are safeguards the Hellsing family place on Alucard to limit his powers.

The 13-episode box set you're waiting for is the TV series. Hellsing Ultimate is the OVA series. An easy way to tell - Seras Victoria wears a blue uniform in the TV series, while she wears a yellow uniform in the OVA.

This version is from the earlier TV version of Hellsing, while the "more detailed" version you mentioned is the OVA. Personally, I think the OVA is better, but I got both OVA and TV at home.

Oh, I didn't want to make dubbed Hellsing super fans angry, I was just being a realist. Do you know anything about acting? :)

Of course the one to really blame would be the director, but dubbing often has low budget and short time to finish.

It's just good if Ultimate has better dubs, but I'll watch my Ultimate OVA with the original voice talent. :)
