Antoher interesting fact is that poor old Wagner wasn't even alive to denounce or defend one of his biggest fans. Dying in 1883 Wagner had no idea what the socialist party that he contributed so much to would become as well as the fact that he would be liked by one of the most hated men in the world today. To me that makes it ridiculous to blacklist him.
