  • I miss Xabi Alonso :<

  • @Robertgtdf innit, one of Liverpools biggest mistakes

  • ''Thats probably travelling a million miles per hour!''

  • Was the net made with like metal fibres or something?

  • He Put Everything He Had In It !!

  • who the fuck are man united !!!!

  • My grandmother could score against Almunia but still a great goal

  • he put everything he had into this... about a million miles/hour..

  • briliant

  • To be honest my dog could score against Almunia

  • does it count with almunia in goal? :/

  • @29AbeD since it was gerrard and no keeper can stop it, it does count :)

  • @29AbeD even casillas wouldn't have stopped it..don't blame almunia!

  • @29AbeD Are you serious about that question? No goalkeeper in the world could stop that insane goal! :-)

  • i miss these times -.-

  • fabregas should've stayed in the wall. gerrerd's shot went strraight through the whole he made when he broke off

  • 1 000 000 miles/h.....hahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • should of been a penaltey either way we scored

  • seeing that goal again hurts me, but Stevie G is class!

  • Had Almunia got in the way of that the ball would've killed him

  • that was powerful

  • tht was a good kit our one at the moment shiny and weird

  • thats travelling at about a million miles an hour lolololol

  • Alonso never dives...

  • it is a beautiful free kick but not like roberto carlo's free kick against france

  • fucking dive at 0:16

  • thats waht u get fab for not listening to the keeper he tld u not to break from the wall and what u do -break from the wall - if u stayed there gerrard would have never scored

  • fuking powerful shot

  • Not to bring down the goal, the goal was ricidulous, but if they called Fabregas for the foul on Alonso (which was weak) they should have called a foul for Gerrard's tackle right at the beginning of the video

  • @TNeZBiT that was all ball

  • @TNeZBiT Gerrard got the ball, Fabregas didn't.

  • this is a time when liverpool was feared

  • Gerrard's shot would have killed atleast 5 people after piercing through the net i.eIf the net was made in China.Thank God..

  • back to the good old days <3

  • fucking.... how the hell does a keeper save that without breaking his hand??

  • that was solid

  • Riises like... I coulda done that

  • "When Torres played it baxk in Fabregas caught Alonso" This free kick was brought to you by Spanish footballers. Play responsibly

  • This ones good but Alex's freekick goal by chelsea to arsenal was slightly better.

  • fuck torres, id rather suarez and day

  • i dont know that much about soccer but would this be considered as a freekick? because the guy sorta passed it to gerrard and then he shot it.

  • @FANOFWAR34 yeah, it's called an indirect free kick (usually happens when the goalie leaves his box too far or something that isnt usually a physical foul. But this one was direct so i have no idea why he passed it to gerrard to shoot because it was direct!

  • @lfcuruguay19 gerrard shoots way better a moving ball

and THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT HIS SHOOTING

  • poor net

  • @lfcuruguay19 Gerrard Style of kicking is when the ball is moving some like it some dont if you noticed gerrard tries to do this when he gets a chance for a free kick

  • @FANOFWAR34

you can do whatever you want with a free kick, either shoot it, lift it to teammates heads, ground pass it!! the free kick taker in this case is not Gerrard but Riise, once the taker touches the ball, it becomes free play and the oppenents can take the ball even before Gerrard shoot it! Hope I cleared the case!

  • @lfcuruguay19 they move the ball in order to change the angle of the freekick, in this case to be shoot more to the keepers right :)

  • @lfcuruguay19 you can always pass teh ball on a direct free kick, or just shoot. THe indirect free kick is the one that requires 2 or more touches.

  • @lfcuruguay19 its quite a common technique used for freekicks, it gives a different angle for the shot, and as was apparent here the wall can very often break up as the players try to move to counter the shot :)

  • @lfcuruguay19 They did that for strategy, with such a close wall, angles are needed to get a direct strike at goal plus the little nudge on the ball allowed kuyt to make a hole right where gerrard wanted to put it.

  • @lfcuruguay19 @FANOFWAR34 He did it to make it a better angle for Gerrard's shot.

  • @lfcuruguay19: they had the other guy pass to gerrard for giving the striker a better angle to score. @fanofwar34: it's called football, not soccer.

  • @lfcuruguay19 It allows them to get a better angle from the wall and more power when they strike it

  • @lfcuruguay19 its to get the wall to move apart

  • @lfcuruguay19 He passed to Gerrard because laying off the ball to a player who can strike it well is a common method used for free kicks. If you watch, the organisation in the box breaks up as soon as the free kick is taken, making them less prepared for the shot than they would have been had Gerrard simply taken it himself.

  • @lfcuruguay19 it's still considered a direct kick. an indirect free kick usually happens inside the 18 when a defender passes it back to his goalkeeper and he accidentally picks it up with his hands. We rarely see indirects nowadays but this is just another style of taking a direct free kick.

  • @lfcuruguay19 d reason dey pass is so d people in d wall can move which givs the shot taker a chance to get it through them

  • @lfcuruguay19 There are many reasons to pass the ball rather than just shooting it.

    1. You don't know who is gonna take the free kick (right foot/left foot etc)

    2. You can get around the wall easier.

    3. It's easier to power on the ball if it is already rolling slowly.

    4. Players might break from the wall, trying to block the shot earlier. (Which was the case here and had he not broken from the wall Gerrard would not have scored.

  • @lfcuruguay19 He rolls it off to create a better shooting angle for Stevie. The keeper generally can't see the roll off very well, and it sets Gerrard up to hammer a shot low and hard near post without having to try and put it under, through, or around the wall.

  • @lfcuruguay19 he passed the ball to Gerrard so he could hit it to the right of the wall, if he shot that direct he would not have as much power as a lay off pass

  • @lfcuruguay19 its called a SET PIECE.

  • @lfcuruguay19 it was a set-piece.

  • @lfcuruguay19 the reason riise knocked the ball for gerrard to shoot was to avoid having to bend the shot over the ball. once the ball is moved to the side, gerrard has a direct look on goal away from the wall.

  • @lfcuruguay19 its called a lay off mate, gerrard does them a lot

  • @lfcuruguay19 Because the balls directly in front of the ball.. Rolling it to him and Fabregas running out opened up the space to shoot

  • @lfcuruguay19 Dude! Direct free kick means that the player has an OPTION to attempt to score with a direct shot at goal. This here is called the LAY OFF, where one player just pushes the ball in a region from where the shooter gets a better angle to place his shot and score.

  • @FANOFWAR34

He passed it to him so Gerrard could get a better angle and line of sight on the goal. Notice where the ball is passed to and how much straighter it goes when shot, than if it was taken from the original spot.

  • @FANOFWAR34 no soccer mate, 'football' =)

  • @lukeizze That's right! Americans and other ppl saying Soccer should be taught a lesson :)

  • @FANOFWAR34 its was given as a direct free kick but they chose to pass it, probably because they wanted people in the wall to get out of position

  • @FANOFWAR34 The freekick was when he passed the ball. He wanted the ball more in the middle so he could shoot with he's right foot.

  • @FANOFWAR34 yer still a free quick was part of the move that lead 2 the goal

  • "a MILLION miles per hour! " lmao

  • i'm surprised the net didn't break

  • i miss that moment of liverpool...alonso..torres..etc..

  • Gerrard wins Fabregas!!!

  • Only liverpool players can do that!!!!!

  • WOOOOOOOOO STevie G!!!!!!!

  • 8 People Support Everton

  • what a gifted right foot

  • @totti90iko look listen Liverpool are stunning it is arsenal who were terrible

  • My comments never get tumbs up..

  • liverpool fuck

  • Arsenal have drawed at leas three or four times the past three seasons were we should have beat them! :(

  • Nobody can match the shotpower and accuracy of stevie G

  • @LFCUruguay19 I'm an Arsenal fan. But you gotta love Stevie G!! Well done Uruguay in the World Cup as well.

  • sick freekick! i have one similar to it in my videos

  • I'm a Chelsea fan... but i would love to see Liverpool win the league ahead of Man United any day! :)

  • That is pretty hard ^^

  • gerrard and alonso and mascherano in defence were the keys for midfielding in both offense and defense. without alonso, gerrard had to push back deeper, and now mascherano gone, its pretty weak now in the midfield. thats the fall of liverpool.

  • I have nightmares of what liverpool would become without gerrard.

  • @lfcuruguay19 They've proved what they can do without him recently

  • @lfcuruguay19 we got spearing lol ;) and seriously... Liverpool can manage without Gerrard now!

  • Respond to this video... deyd b the same we hav meireles spearing lucas downing aquilani adam nd henderson wer grand wen it comes 2 mids

  • 5 People are Man United or Chelsea fans

  • God you can really hear the net thud when the ball goes in

  • what a fu**** sh00T 0_O

  • Diving scouse waffle machine..... I hate that tip rat, scouse cunt

  • @theslice2 I take it you're dirty Manc then? Cunt.

  • @dunlopsrule.... you take it wrong then.... its not just dirty mancs that hate scouse cunts....in fact I hate 3 prem teams that wear red...... but top of my hate list is definately stevie the starfish

  • @theslice2 How did I take it wrong? You just insulted me you dick''ead hahaha! Why exactly do you hate Scousers?

  • @dunlopsrule .you posted..' I take it you're dirty Manc then? Cunt'...... thats how you took it wrong.....simple really...and yes I hope I did insult you dickhead... its in reply to your insult at me and if you are a scouser,I question that because there are a lot of LFC glory hunters down here and you could be one of them, you are an example of why I hate them,

    1/ they're THICK( like you)

    2/they cheat

3/ they are responsible for too many deaths on the terraces.... here and abroad

  • @dunlopsrule you took it wrong by assuming i'm a dirty Manc....and you still don't get it do you thicko?

you should read what you post before you post it... ... 'And Scousers aren't think mate'.....what does that mean ??aren't think?? the c is nowhere near the n on my keyboard so it's not a typo... i guess spelling ain't a strong point for you either (thats along with understanding what you wrote yourself)

  • @theslice2 That's not taking anything wrong you dumb shit. Me assuming you were from Manchester takes nothing away from your insult. So therefore I didn't take anything the wrong way you daft cunt.

As for me saying 'think' that was blatantly just a typing error, I can obviously spell much better than you and have a far better understanding of the English Language, not to mention your sentence structure is terrible and your use of brackets is apalling.

    You daft cunt.

  • Comment removed

  • @dunlopsrule so if you didn't take it wrong i must be a manc..... i'm not so you took it wrong...you didn't take the fact that i thick gerrard is a cunt wrong...he is.... i'm bored with having a battle of wits with an unarmed fool so please fuck off...... incidently why have you put a capital L at the beggining of language..... oh I know...its because spell check doesn't show that up does it... and you didn't SAY think instead of thick you TYPED it

  • @theslice2 You're a fucking idiot mate, the context I used the word 'Language' in gave cause for it to begin with a capital L as it's a noun... You can't even insult anyone's spelling when your grammar is worse than a two year old's. Why would I need to use a spell checker anyway, my browser doesn't even use one hahaha! And it was a figure of speech lad, wasn't meant in a literal sense, if you didn't get that, you must be fucking retarded.

  • @dunlopsrule Its not nouns that require a capital letter its names birdbrain and the beggining of any sentance

and seeing as you are such an expert on english language I fully understand that you don't know what fuck off means

    Fuck off means go away

Do some thing else like play with the traffic or buy a book and get mummy and daddy to read it to you

  • @theslice2 A noun IS the name of something you daft cunt :')

That was a jarg insult there mate and to be fair if I couldn't read I wouldn't be arguing with you on this now would I? Go back to school...

  • @dunlopsrule Names are proper nouns and should have a capital... language is not the name of something and is therefore a noun that does not require a capital..... Google it shitforbrains then you can leave me alone

  • @theslice2 Why would I need to Google it when I have an A Level in the subject? I used a capital letter more out of habit then anything else, sue me. I think you forgot where the space bar was when you called me 'shit for brains' though mate...Nouns aren't only the name of people, but places, things, and any other entity, whether proper, concrete, collective or abstract. You are right in the fact that I didn't NEED to use a capital L but that doesn't mean I can't...

  • @dunlopsrule no it doesn't mean you can't but it does mean you shouldn't..... Especially when your picking holes in other peoples grammar

Whatever you say GERARRD IS STILL A CUNT

  • @theslice2 You were the one who started nit picking on the spelling mate :')

Whatever you say, he's still one of the best midfielders in the world :)

  • @dunlopsrule I ain't your mate and it was actually you that claimed to understand english better than me ... its written in the above comments .... if you hadn't put a capital L on language when you claimed to understand it better than me I wouldn't of had anything to be picking on would I .

I have never said that gerrard wasn't any good .... I just said that he's a cheating cunt... and he is

  • @theslice2 You commented on a spelling mistake I made actually trying to be a smart arse prick...

And he's not really, a great example of a cheating cunt is Cristiano Ronaldo

  • @dunlopsrule thats a pair of cheating cunts then isn't it....

  • @theslice2 No just one :) When does Gerrard cheat exactly?

  • @dunlopsrule .when he's doing his impression of a starfish..... its usually just outside the box and sometimes in it... he's a diving cunt like Drogba was and Ronaldo still is..... plenty of examples right here on youtube but scousers are blind to it coz he is the only hope they have to qualify for europa league

  • @theslice2 Whatever lad, he's only played in one Europa League game so stop chattin' shit.

  • @dunlopsrule one game so far maybe though i'm not on about how many games he's played in am I...more to come coz you ain't gonna qualify for CL .... and my point is that stevie the starfish is your main hope for qualifying again.

  • @theslice2 Are you a fortune teller now as well as a smart arse? You can get good money for that kid! Go jump up your own arse or something :')

  • @dunlopsrule Fortune teller ? not at all..... just stating the fucking obvious

  • @theslice2 For all you know Liverpool could go on an unbeaten streak after Crimbo, Arsenal and Man Utd could start losing a lot. Whilst this is very unlikely, you can't rule it out XD

  • @dunlopsrule no you can't rule it out, after all who would of thought that Chelsea would 'fall from the roof'' so dramatically.I don't understand the XD... is it some kind of suprised expression? Its not man u or arsenal that worry me though its Spurs

  • @theslice2 I've actually enjoyed watching Tottenham this season, and rather them than Arsenal or Man U XD

  • @dunlopsrule I've enjoyed watching them too .... i'm not worried about them winning the league.. don't think they are capable... but the way things are going for Chelsea right now i'm concerned for the 4th spot.... still don't know what XD is and how come you ain't calling me names anymore ? ... unless of course XD is an insult that I don't know about so just incase XD to you too

  • @theslice2 'XD' is a smiley face with scrunched up eyes hahahaha! :') I didn't even noticed you'd said you didn't understand it before :') I assumed the conversation had moved on from petty name calling anyway? Do you support Chelsea?

  • @dunlopsrule Yes I do and have done since about 68/9... that should quell any thoughts of glory hunting... nearest club to me as a kid and still is except for Crystal Palace

  • @theslice2 And there was me thinking I was arguing with some arrogant teenager like myself hahaha! Can't blame you for not supporting Crystal Palace like :P

  • @dunlopsrule Palace were a much better team then than they are now.... I went and saw them play liverpool in the early 70's ... the same sort of time that Arsenal done Lfc in the FA cup final....70/1 i think... chose Chelsea coz Peter Osgood lived next door to my mate and he actually had time for us two little shits..... my mate chose Man u though... never did understand that but Georgie Best was a magician and I think that swayed hm

  • @theslice2 I'd definitely pick Chelsea over Man Utd, but the only other team I'd ever even consider supporting is Everton, and that'd only happen if Liverpool went down the shitter haha!

  • @dunlopsrule what happened to 'thick and thin' hahahahah ...... and what d'ya mean WENT down the shiter.... they went and we is followin .... happy christmas

  • @theslice2 I mean if they got liquidated or something haha! If they got relegated I'd be sound with that :') Merry Crimbo =D

  • @theslice2 And I'm not even going to dignify that last one with a response you ignorant bastard

  • look at that.. Gerrard made the tackle, had the shot then smacked in the free kick. He's the man!

  • y bother having a keeper when hes taking a free kick, its pointless

  • i cant see gerrard in any other club and i cant see liverpool without gerrard..........he is terrific...

  • I want to kick like that............sooo bad. How does he do it?!

  • when liverpool brought voronin you know the club was going downhill

  • @playfulpaul1985

    fuck you negro

  • @MikefromMadrid im a liverpool fan dick head

  • 'that's travelling at about a million miles an hour!' haha

  • i wish alonso stayed with liverpool

  • BOOB BOOM GERRARD!!!!!
