  • The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.

    Albert Einstein

  • Spaniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish please

  • Is it me, does TM. sound identical to Paul Lynde?

  • no sound?

  • I suddenly got the feeling that everyone who's watched this is an awesome loner that gets stoned late at night thinking and analyzing Terence Mckenna.

  • collective philosophy helpful to a specific time and place. thats all.

  • @wellwellwellall thats an easy way to simplify it

  • I understand and believe his philosophy, but it's hard to take him serious because he sounds like Mr. Rogers. "Smoke some DMT and be my neighbor. I like you."

  • @SeisrushOb hus lecture came out first, maybe terence inspired mr.rogers a little

  • yeah i know. I just wanted to gauge a response do discern where the psychedelic community is focused

  • awesome words and music in the backround

  • When I close my eyes, clear my mind, and listen closely, I hear Templeton the rat from Charlotte's Web. Am I alone?

  • Credit should also be made to Mark Sedgwick the creator and producer of this video you can find him on youtube under user/nowikonik

  • Terence as always elucidates......and simple reason can be taken to it's original intended role- wisdom.

  • New World Order?

  • @lilnuwr naw, not in that sense. listen to what he's talking about. the terminology of a "new world order" has been around long before the meaning thats given to it now, or the meaning that we acknowledge/relate to negativity/control/deception.

  • @chokingmessiah yes, we can't get stuck on words or certain phrases- me must learn to feel deeper into the energy, the spirit of the thing... being caught in the Form, the Phrase, the Image...without feeeling the Essence, the Soul, the substance enables false masquerades to manipulate us.

  • @lilnuwr I know you comment is from a while back, but I thought I'd help elucidate. What I understand him to be saying is that our idea of history and culture will change from linear to something different. We are the sole sentient lifeforms (as far as I know) on this planet so our evolution will have to do with our perception more than our physical design. The change in perception will be the New World Order.

  • WOW - interesting - I get what he is saying precisley. I have never used drugs either. This is out there stuff but brilliantly described. Words always seem to get in the way for most things though - language can be limiting and also misinterpreted. Love this stuff. Keep at it.

  • Words get in the way of the sense that 'All is One' because this concept is a right-brain or 'divine feminine' function, whilst language is a left brain function. The two tend not to communicate very well. Watch the TED talk called "Stroke of Insight" to get a good idea of how this works.

I am not saying this to debunk the experience that 'All is One'. We might be able to explain the radio (brain), but we fumble at explaining the radiowaves (consciousness) ;)

  • spiritual bond is not ether, is it? or it might very well be.

or it goes through ether... very difficult to explain this in our language anyway, especially in english-

  • Listenning makes my brain feel spacious and my mind go infinte. Terence Mckenna speaks words of wisdom.

  • The scariest and coolest thing is that I actually understand exactly what he is talking about. I wish I can articulate concepts and ideas in such a profoundly moving way as Terence consistently did. We miss you Terence!

  • "Subsets embedded in them. Subsets embedded in them.."

  • 2:50 science (or at least my field) does not express time as a linear process... time is a concept for sure... but also a commodity and is only 'linear' in history books.

In fact most physicists will tell you that quantum entanglement...and observations of such prove that time is definitely not linear... time can be affected by gravity, speed, matter & light.

so science does not perceive time in a linear fashion. If it did we wouldn't have experiments in entangled particles!

  • So perhaps after reading this...and looking at the video again...you might see where mssrs Mckenna and co. set up an argument which is not true to start with!

you need to rethink how the world of science perceives time... and in fact how science perceives perception... which itself is a problem in understanding time!

The rest of the video then goes off on a tangent based on this misunderstanding... and adds all sots of cookie ideas which are frankly untestable...and designed to be so!
