The French always makes the best theme songs!!!
Inspector gadget's French version is better than all the other versions.I can actually laugh while i watch this compared to falling asleep with the English version. The shame with inspector gadget is that they ruined the whole thing by making a terrible movie.Someone should run to Hollywood and tell them think before they make a movie and not just make movies out of every comic book hero.

Ironically, this show and Get Smart (another Don Addams classic) have similarities. Gadget is Maxwell, neice Penny is in what would be 99's role, both Cheifs end up being the butt of the bumbler's jokes, the gadgets and Gadgetmobile are similar to Maxwell's stuff...
Oddly, Inspector Gadget--though animated by the Japanese--is an America/French cartoon (the only difference is that the French version of the theme actually has an extended version).

@TherealRNO There's nothing ironic about that. It's an intentional reference to Get Smart, obviously. I loved Get Smart when I was a kid (in reruns) so I got the reference even then ;)
