the reason bands like this don't get out is simple. Radio stations refuse to play this type of music. In st. louis the only rock station we have is fucking horrible, it plays the same ten shitty alternative bands over and over again, and all requests for post hardcore bands are ignored. I just with there were more stations out there that would play this type of rock.

I cant stand when people say " theres a ton of bands just like them" and so on. There's a thing called a "genre" of music in which bands fit into a category. I'm tired of people saying negative crap like that. A lot of death metal bands will sound like Cannibal Corpse. All rap sounds the same, all grunge, all post hardcore. To an extent they all sound alike because they're in a category. Who cares? If you like the tunes, just enjoy the music. If you don't like it, shut up and move on.

i'm not sure what the why not is directed too, but i'm going to assume it was about them signing to tooth and nail(correct me if im wrong). but anyway, if you look at tooth's most succesfull bands, its really mainstream. not to say that's bad, but with their most popular being hawk nelson, anberlin, all that stuff, you don't look to tooth and nail for "different".
