I was just watching some replays I saved in Brawl, when it said "now loading" at the bottom of the screen. I was getting impatient thinking it froze and I ejected the game and held down the "power" button. I turned on my wii and inserted the game and it said "unable to read the disc" I'm so mad! How was I supposed to know that was going to happen!? I've done that with My Sims and Sims 3 and nothing happened then! I'm so pissed off!

@remmbermytitans Here's what i did. If its the Wii clean airways top and bottom. it might be the disk check for straches get Rubbing alcohol the one you put on cuts,Bruises and rub the front and back of the disk then dry it with a towel and turn off your wii and turn it back on.

You know what happened when I called Nintendo about THE broken DS lite hinge? I had to pay for a new one, because that doesn't fall under the warranty, even though I got a huge paper saying I could return it.

Later, I got a DSi XL, and its firmware corrupted, making me unable to start the menu up properly. I sent it to Nintendo, and apparently, firmware errors don't fall under the warranty.

So, physical AND software defects don't fall under warranty. SO NOTHING DOES!

I've used the cleaning stuff. THEN, I put the wii on it's side so that the fat side is DOWN. Put in the game. It might not work the first time, so keep turning it on and off. I had the same problem. It clicked 6 times on mine too. I hope this helps.

i think the problem is in the lens.

then you can do 3 things 1: buy a wii cleaner (didnt work by me :( but it could work by you)

and 2: try to clean the lens yourself without a cleaner (if you arent technical dont do this because you have to open the wii first).

and 3: bring it to a repairer or nintendo ( i dont know if this works but i am trying it right now by a friend of mine, if you dont know anyone who can fix it just buy a cleaner. good luck :)

There is probably dirt where you put the CD in, I don't have a Wii (Yet) but with my other consoles I did have the same problems, it was dirt or the CD wasn't placed in right. Did it get banged on by something in the past days that it started to have that problem? Cause if it did then something must of gotten loose inside, perhaps the needle thing is sticking out a little.

i think that its because your wii system is NTSC and maybe the disc is a PAL disc it should say on the box

this happened to my ps2 i opened its and cleaned the eye i don't recommend cleaning the eye for the wii because a warranty but you should ask Nintendo if they would clean it for you.

You should know that in the first years of the XBox release , 3 of 10 whould end up with the "red ring of death"... If you dont know whats that let me tell you. THE CONSOLE WAS DEAD. One of two or maybe both problems. Bad Lazer or bad dvd Motor. These are common problems with WII. I have 2 of them on my work bench right now. both with bad dvd drive motors. The motors cost like 5 bucks . But if you do not know what you are doing ? Get ready for a huge headache.

I own a Wii & I own like 20 games for it. The wii kicks ass & it's a lot of fun. I currently have an XBOX 360 but I'm selling it for a PS3. 360 has great games but the system itself is a piece & it's not worth fixing just for it to break again. Owning a PS3 & Wii is the way to go, you can say that Wii sucks but you obviously play video games alone cause if you play with friends that are actually over at your house & not online, the wii is the way to go. PS3 is for serious games for hermits.
