@bearguy37 -Yes, you do indeed have a valid point, however, mud-slinging and berating someone who is expressing their opinion, wrong or not, is not going to do anything but cause more controversy. I feel that it is safe to assume that you are a left wing liberal, which is fine, well, and good; however, the bickering between who is right and who is wrong needs to stop. Bottom line is that we have a problem in this country, and both sides need to come together to try and figure out a solution.
#1 His business expenses are 100% exempt; he can take all of it off,
#2 Obama has said he is willing to pay more taxes because he can afford it.
#3 All Fed. Employees - from the President to Postal workers have the same medical.. When they leave, the can get COBRA and that is an expensive rip off.
#4 Pelosi was REQUIRED by Homeland Security to fly the way she did in case some right-wingnut got stupid ideas.

i think you take the words out of every Americans mouth. i am so sick of all of these @#$%^ politicians. Grow up and do something instead of fighting like a bunch of 12 year olds. its not even friggin funny anymore.i go to bed at night sick with wondering IF this will ever change. so let's hope the politicians can put aside their arrogance and open their ears to listen, yes LISTEN to what the hell is being said.

i think it is time to get rid of ALL of our elected officials and start over. if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. you idiots are quickly making us into the next Mexico. you should be ashamed. you are destroying my country for the future of my children. fuck all of you!
"THE DANGER TO AMERICA IS NOT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA BUT A CITIZENRY CAPABLE OF ENTRUSTING A MAN LIKE HIM WITH THE PRESIDENCY".
IT WILL BE EASIER TO LIMIT AND UNDO THE FOLLIES OF AN OBAMA PRESIDENCY THAN TO RESTORE THE NECESSARY COMMON SENSE AND GOOD JUDGMENT TO A DEPRAVED AND IGNORANT ELECTORATE WILLING TO HAVE SUCH A MAN FOR THEIR PRESIDENT.
Thank G-d. A man with common sense and the nerve to call out our leaders, especially our president, on their disgraceful, wasteful spending and disgusting taxes on business, hidden and obvious. This administration is ruining the USA and job creation, in a few years with such fervor, that we must vote all of them out and start again. Jim, keep up the pressure. You are well spoken, objective and calm. People are listening. Thank you.
"The top 10% of the wealthiest foot the bill for approximately 70% of our TOTAL income tax burden... and they somehow aren't paying their fair share? Then what the hell IS their fair share?" Well how about taxing capital gains (which isn't income from YOUR work, it's income from OTHER PEOPLE's work) at the same rate as earned income. Is it really "class warefare" to have William Buffet pay the same percentage as his receptionist?
Now I'm neither a tax attorney or a small business owner, but Jim claimed that ALL gross revenue from his business was taxed. If this is true, then how did Boeing pay no tax last year? I'm sure they had a lot more revenue than Jim did. Instead of blindly chanting NO TAX INCREASES, how about intelligently putting the burdens where it will hurt the least?
If you want to see a true propaganda tool tune into the evening news of NBC, CBS and ABC. Anyone who furthers class warfare instead of looking at the real situation like this guy, is the real problem.
Also, Peter Johnson Jr. said ""millions" of people have seen this video. The count I see here is 541. I understand Mr. Garvin's frustrations as the owner of a small business, but I'm disappointed that he has been used a propaganda tool by Fox News to spread lies and distortion to further the causes of the very wealthy continuing to screw the middle class.
@dancar711 The people getting "screwed" are all of us. Our gov't works very hard to keep class warfare alive & well. The wealthy are not the villains here. The top 10% of the wealthiest foot the bill for approximately 70% of our TOTAL income tax burden... and they somehow aren't paying their fair share? Then what the hell IS their fair share? Nearly 50% of Americans don't even pay ANY income tax. Is that a "fair share"? Tax stats are easily found merely by googling them.
Instead of blindly chanting "NO TAX INCREASES," how about taking a look at which tax breaks are really needed to help small businesses survive and which affect only very wealthy people who will still be very wealthy. This what Obama meant when he says everyone should sacrifice something.
@dancar711 How about we do this - how about instead of looking at ways to stifle ANY business through taxation, how about we look at how Congress frivolously spends our tax dollars & then rein their garbage in? You want solutions? There you go. When you see a list of monthly expenditures & the ABSURDITIES that our tax dollars pay for, it is INFURIATING. Anyone who thinks increasing taxes is going to close our debt gap is uninformed & out of touch with reality.
@dancar711 Sadly that is not what he meant. He says "millionaires and billionaires" he says "corporate jet owners" boldly, then under his breath mentions those making $250,00 or more. I don't know many small business owners who are at that $250,000 range who are flying around in Corporate jets or who fit in the category of millionaire or billionaire. These are people who re-invest in their business and hire more people. He's unfairly lumping everyone into the same category.
Excuse me, but if you make $200,000 a year, you don't have a private jet, so how is a closing the private jet deduction going to hurt you? If someone making $70,000/year can pay 28% in income tax, then why does a hedgefund manager making millions only pay 15%? How many jobs does a hedgefund manager create anyway?
@dancar711 We can close the "corporate jet tax loophole" & you know what? We will have to collect it every year for the next 5000 years in order to pay for ONE YEAR of spending under this administration. Now gee - sounds to me like that is certainly a "common sense" solution to our debt problems, wouldn't you agree? Don't believe me? Do the math yourself. How about we rein in FRIVOLOUS SPENDING at the hands of our Congress??? Now THERE would be a common sense solution.
Jim, saw you on Fox, immediately checked out your posting - perfect! If you have time, let's talk about forming a cohesive group of citizens across America (state by state) who agree to run for the house / senate on the basic pledge of a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution - once the amendment is passed and ratified, we go home. A side benefit of this approach would be a thorough house cleaning in Washington, DC.
"THANK YOU" and I "SALUTE YOU" Mr. Jim Garvin. I once had a small business which failed and no one came to bail me out. I closed the business down and paid my debts from such. Regarding raising the retirement age none in Washington have ever done manual work in the elements. Eliminating the waste is the answer not raising this age. I agree with term limits and not allowing the passage of any law for the "people" that doesn't apply to the politician and/or government workers. YES WE ARE FED UP!!
AMEN!!!!! Jim Garvin. Now that is a name I will not forget. Jim, If I see your name on a ballet, you got my vote. Jim I would love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks again. Everyone should send this video to all their elected officials.
Well said. I have a good friend, and Godparents to our son, who is an executive at a major credit corporation in America. His is a multi-billion dollar institution. Imagine the small community banks that will not be able to exist. Taxes and Regulations will kill this country.
AMEN and I am a SBO. It's time we stood up to all of them and say go to hell.
