The majority of us in the North want to remain part of Britain, and that is why Northern Ireland remains in the Union. It has nothing to do with colonialism or squatters or anything like that. We are British and have been for many hundreds of years; and that is only officially. Genetically the people of Britain and Ireland are exactly the same, there is not one person in Ireland that does not have British heritage in the last 100 years and vice versa.
