I'm puzzled why there isn't any sort of electronic identification system for the "Who's who, in the zoo"... Or maybe there is but they have to train to be able to make friend from foe visually?
@wyntje83 As everyb0dy said, IFF or IDENTIFY FRIEND OR FOE is a system that is used, but it is not foolproof. and only works if all allied forces are carrying it and using the same codes. The only true way to know, is using the 'mark 1 eyeball'
@monsoon270275 cant say for sure in the CAF, but the USAF doesnt allow that since it can throw off the missile aimed at the bad guy, and those flares can be seen for miles.
@brydon189 well i dont know about being a jet fighter pilot..But maybe they can say hes behind me.. even if its in a cercle. (the enemy will always follow you) you can be chasing him or you can be chased by him.
