Well, I'v got 4GB of Kingston HyperX 1066Mhz DDR2 in DualChannel mode. That means (1066Mhz(frequency)x128bit(busbandwidth)):8(bits to bytes)=17GB/s I also got 1600MHz frontsidebus and 6MB L2 memory on my 3,6GHz Dualcore intel processor. So I think I'v got memory bandwidth covered quite well.
well Quadro FX uses the same GPU(s) as the gaming card. Only differences are the amount of memory, the PCB and the BIOS. Same with FireGL. It makes absolutely no difference in Google Earth wether you you use one or another.
your too lucky man, even i had google earth 5 still no 3D buildings for me!

you can,t avoid lag if you buy a more expensive videocard but you can avoid lag if you buy a more expensive RAM

yeah, I use nVidia G8800GTS 512. So you obiously can't avoid the lag by buying more expensive card.

G8800GTS Is a gaming card.
You need a Quadro FX or a FireGL to view 3D properly. The only reason to invest in those cards though, is if you work in 3D graphics.
