how about a quick-tip on how you made that text. i made something similar but not quite like this. i know you used grain and stuff but did you used any layer styles?

@badashahfx It's very easy and I will do a tutorial on it soon once my teeth health. It's simply just duplicated text pushed back with a Bevel Alpha applied and a Ramp.

@fanna1119 It's the tool to the right of the Camera tool. Alternatively, you could use "A" to bring up the anchor point of the layer.

@BakersTuts They are shortcuts for new layers/effects. It's so straightforward because it's a simple script that you have to purchase so no tutorial unfortunately.

Here you can take inspiration of: vimeo dotcom /25186640 check out the WHOLE video, there are a few people that just used after effects, but most used a 3D program. And also this as a little example of some nice motion graphics: 32334957, past it behind the vimeo URL.

Nice tutorial. I too am curios about what settings were used to give the text a 3D look. It doesn't appear the text layer was precomposed, so is it an effect applied to the text or part of the text settings itself?

@JamesCGI There's a few 3D layers that make up the text, except they're hidden as I turned on the shy switch. It's just scaled down text which I'll go over in a upcoming tutorial very soon.

Your views are suffering, and I believe I know why, there hasn't been much progress in your AE skills, and you're not proficient in any 3D program as far as I've seen, have you seen the guys on vimeo? Their simply amazing, I'm not saying you're bad, but their stunning, so my suggestion is improve and maybe do some motion graphics, post your projects here I don't really care about the tutorials.

@C43Z Thanks for the feedback! My views are actually not suffering at all. My view count is actually increasing overall according to analytic and I receive more views on CreativeDojo than on here. I'm proficient in Cinema 4D. Also, I haven't had time to do any projects for fun as I'm busy doing my day job and school, aside from some freelance.
