  • These guys are like teh equivalent of Quidam's girls.

  • @JaredTheTwitch Close....this is a million times harder

  • @JaredTheTwitch I believe the Quidam girls are also in Dralion or La Nouba...I don't remember but it's three of them doing a similar routine.

  • @JaredTheTwitch I diagree. I think they are equivalent of the La Nouba Diablo girls. :P

  • no, they're called meteor hammers, sometimes they have water in them but these do not

  • meteors ar my profession when it come 2 acrobatics there awsome fun

  • For anyone who wants to know, the name of the song is Lubia Dobarstan.

This is my favorite act in the show. :)

  • the male at 3:48 (mathieu Lavoie) is SO high even for a tenor like me!

  • No he isn't, i've heard higher falsetto's than that.

  • Oh yeah I've heard higher falsettos its just thats him using his modal voice right?

  • See now, if I tried doing stuff like this I'd be whacking myself in the face multiple times. These boys are amazing

  • i loooove the singers

  • mouth harp

  • It might be a didgeridoo but I might be horribly mistaken.

  • A didgeridoo.

  • Its called a "jew's harp" i dont know why

  • Definitely a Jew's Harp

  • holy crap. They are AMAZING. God bless their amazing talent! Man I want to see one of these shows SO bad...

  • I feel so fortunate that I got to see this show live, back in 2004...

  • i saw this live :)

    its amazing

  • la musica y lo ke esto s niños hacen WOOOOOW

  • Damn OO!

I HAVE to see it live!

  • bet it hurt to be smacked in the head with that thing...

  • It would. As these are modified versions of the Chinese meteor hammer which was actually a weapon used in martial arts over there. Makes it even more amazing that these kids are masters of it at their age. At least this routine.

  • i saw this show live a couple of years ago and i remember that one of the boys kept dropping the spinny thing (i don't know what its called!!!!) but it was aooooo awesome, i loved it

  • What they are spinning is called a "meteor" Dont know much about the history of meteors though.

  • the music is beautiful!

  • @canadadiabolo I really love this music, the two singers are AMAZING!! All the show is INCREDIBLE. I'm a Cirque Du Soleil's fan, come to Buenos Aires!!!

  • my favorite music ...♥

  • I LOVE This

  • me ankanta el tema muzikal

  • Are the ushers hired city by city or do you go city to city with the show?

  • City by city.

  • Well, usually it's city by city, but there is the option to travel with 'em if you want to.

  • I'm not sure whether this comment is too late, but if you get the chance definitely go to see Quidam, it's amazing!

  • yay (:

i might see them this summer in Toronto!!!

  • lol

    amazing !!!!!

    wow

    lol ololololo

  • When I went to this show, it scared me half to death when he screamed and I heard the little squeaking noise 0_0

  • No this was fimled here in toronto these 3 amazing boys are the originals the girl has been added once these guys left

  • That's Crazy Cool

  • wow---this is an awesome video.

  • it's odd to have that different pice of music in there. It doesn't fit and sounds like they just stuck it in at some odd moment

  • i love these boys XD so cool. i really like how cirque includes all cultures. there other show dralion...draleon? >_> eh i forgot...thats a good example of different cultures.

  • insanely awesome!

  • Adoro esta parte do varekai, é uma das minhas favoritas.

  • insane amount of talent they have. It's amazing!

  • Ah, physics... *sigh*

  • and i thought Riverdance was cool. they have been put to shame. sorry river dance

  • lol i watched the show today it was very amazing :) btw i thought its 3 boys at first... turns out its two boys and one girl

  • actually these 3 here are all boys but there is a girl and they just alternate shows...the girl's name is Tu Yuting

  • that is just amazing! do you see they way it spins in their hands!? wow

  • these boys and the vocalists are wicked nice.

  • wow. :( this vid makes me so sad. some1 msg me!! xD i

  • wat do you want some1 to msg you about? hah

  • I love how the guys are swinging on the things in the background

  • WOW

  • Here's the lyric:

    Atzma gotang lubia dobarstan

no victa nunca lo vian de rendo

itz mi qui totche sento motche

itz niki honra do zen da gotang(x2)

hey daya ven pratzeno daya ban

    hey daya ven pratzeno zayona

  • Do you know what it means?

  • It doesn't mean anything - it's cirquish.

  • Are those boys asian they look like chinese

  • Yes they are chinese...there are at least 6 water meteors and they rotate between shows and all of them ar chinese.

  • Now old are these boys o.O?

  • The outfits look like that poodle workout lady.

  • Wow they make it look so easy lol! I would have whacked myself in the head or sent those things flying into the crowd on accident. I can only imagine how much practice time these kids do

  • That actually happened when I saw the show. they were only about a month into the run and one of the boys missed the meteor when it was coming back down and it flew skidding across the stage. No one got hit by it though.

  • Oh wow

  • en febrero en sevilla Varekai!! yeah!

  • i was at their show in berlin today it's so beautiful♥

  • they're just kids!! amazing

  • hi!!!...what's the name of that song?

  • The name of the song is Lubia Dorbastan, a remixed version of the live version is on the Varekai album.

  • I saw Varekai live in March last year and we got VIP tickets so after the show we got to meet some of the performers...We met the clown Steven Bishop and one of the water meteors called Tu Yuting but they had someone translate for her...She was adorable!

  • I've been to the show in amsterdam.. it was so cool! nice video btw!

  • Do these actually have water in them? I've seen similar acts, where the weights are actually dishes with water in them, and they pour the water in and then back out at the beginning and end of the act to prove it. The centrifugal force of the constant spinning keeps the water in the dishes. With the name "water meteors," I assumed these had water in them, but this clip doesn't show it.

  • Put it on full scree, and you can see the water slosh a bit in the beginning

  • POTTIEEE!!! xD They are so cute :P My sister thougt there where 5 xD they are 12, 12 and 11 I thougt?

  • has there ever been a miscue in a Cirque du Soleil performance?

  • are they are child?

  • They're so cute! Great performance :D

  • these kids are INSANE, theyre going to be killer performers when they get older. well, more killer than they already are

and how do u do that act with a rope w/ weights attached one it!?!?!?! the physics makes it seem impossible!!!!

thats one thing i really love about cirque du soleil though, they take some traditional acts like trapeze or baton to hula hoops then redo it to make it innovative and mind-boggling again

  • It's better than I can do so I like it!

  • i saw them today, they're not older than 7! that's really cool.

  • It's not the same kids all the time, just the same act ofcourse. I just saw it last friday and these arn't the same kids (there was a little girl with her hair tucked under the hat:P)

  • They are 12, 12 and 11 :P I read it in the newspaper !

  • Why didn't you like it? Because of their age? Honestly, if that's your reason, it's incredibly petty.

  • No because when I was there it looked so forced, like they had no fun and it just didn't feel right. Don't get me wrong I love Cirque du Soleil, but this act I just didn't enjoy so much..

  • but I forgot to say that I think they are amazing ;)

  • so you say this is the only act you didnt like yet you think they are amazing????

i dont think you can say both of those about the one act you are pretty much contradicting yourself.

  • I go to this show to night

  • how old are they? wen i saw it in the royal albert hall they looked lyk 7!!

  • some of them are nine

  • thats really cool I wonder how they spin them so fast.

  • would be better if they were fire meteors

  • omg that can't be possible.. that was just incredible!

  • thats nothng comapred to the rest of the show!!

  • These guys are magic! I think that Varekai has the best singers they are wonderful. Good music too.

  • I saw Varekai last night in London at the Royal Albert Hall - fantastic!

  • It is my dream to be in cirque. I'm a clown

  • they're amazing! although I think they were having an off day when i saw them as they dropped the things they were carrying 2 or 3 times!

It didn't matter though - they got a even bigger round of appluase.

  • and i love about 3.42 where he does about 4 backflips in a row and then catches his thingo right at the last moment.

  • totally awesome! i love this!

  • yeah ppl humans make mistakes.. don't tell these ppl they are no good.. cuz i bet you could not do shit compared to these talented folks.. they work really hard to do this.. give em some credit jeez.. so immature

  • are you flippin kidding me?? there was even people in the background swinging on poles and they were high too! dang its like all live

  • i got to see varaki when it came to vancouver where i live and it was great to see it live. and i get to see another one soon too.

  • Love the people in the pole thingys! And those kids are truly skilled. The music is awesome.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • omg i am gonna see these in 18 more sleeps and i cant wait........i love this show, second only to Alegria for me

  • I think it's a bit child labor, those kids go around whole the world and who knows what they earn except some honour?

  • Cirque is a great company to work for. They search the world over for the best performers, performers who love what they do. You are right to say it is an honor, but for the performers, it is also a hell of a lot more than that as well.

  • One of the little kids dropped his during our performance =(

  • I saw Varekai Yesterday, the were in Belgium (Antwerp).

  • @glowingcat, dit you went in antwerp on nov 26

I was there and he dropped one.

    But the show was amaaaazing.

  • Was there too, the juggler also dropped something, but it is human to make mistakes,

  • That juggler is more than an entertainer, he is also doing some very hard technical tricks that the audience do not appreciate the difficulty of, they just appreciate the affect, which is fantastic-until they drop. I respect how you said humans make mistakes-we get bashed a lot! Be sure to check out my practice videos.

  • how is that funny??

  • hahaha

  • they got skillz

  • they are children

  • I have done meteors, and trust me...its really hard

  • i just saw varekai yesterday.. hahahahha... very late eh?... but enjoyed it very much.. ^^

  • where did u see it?

  • How old are those kids? They're like rabbits!

  • i love cirque du soleil! so far i have seen dralion, varekai, alegria, and delirium. i dont think delirium really counts. its like a sampler platter at sharis...

  • oh where did u see alegria?

  • Great job! The band sounds great! I used to play in this show for three months. I wonder if the violinist on this video was Ludvig....

  • I saw varekai last week in Adelaide, these three are fantastic, one dropped his 'thing' picked it up and kept going the crowd applauded him more , they are good!
