I have come back to this song again because i think i have come to realisation that the reason why i played so many games back then (i play none now) was because of the artistic aspect of them. 

There was true art in the graphics and musical originality both in the sounds that were indicative of the particular sound chip used as in SID for the C64, Paula for the Amiga..etc...

There is still quite an Artistic element to some games today but no-where near as much and with zero soul.

Still prefer the original, but if Beast was ever to be redone for PS3/360, this would be a welcome update to the originals.
