  • @hollanic what is the site? I need 2 know so i can look it up

  • @CRider23Gamer its not a site... its the kind of markets that are on the street selling new and used stuff at very low price. and its on Tijuana or other little city in mexico.. I paid only $ 1.5 for this and mortal kombat II XD

  • WTF? This game looks and sounds way better than super street fighter 2 on the genesis. They even manage to fit in the CPS1 drums, this is awesome.

  • @GXSCChater That's because whatever asshole that did the sound for Super didn't put any effort into shaping the waveforms in that port. They just used the standard stock soundshapes that low budget Genesis games often used. I think they were like, "We already ported this game to the Genesis three times, fuck it, who cares." In my opinion, CE on the Genesis was the best home port of the SFII series period, other than the 3DO version of ST, but no one had a 3DO...

  • genesis version has terrible audio but better bright vivid visual. super nintendo version got better audio but a bit less bright. overall i choos esuper nintendo version. hearing ryu doung his ahdooget in genesis version is ear hurt.

  • @ThaThotGetBalooget i take back what i said..... genesis version do not have better graphic than super nintendo version. in fact gennesis version look fake... looks non-authentic street fighter 2. music sounds non-authentic also with broken tin audio that hurts ear.

  • I think the SNES had a far superior sound chip to the MD whereas the MD has a better graphics chip. In my opinion. But the SuperFX chip in some of the SNES software carts trumped it given that the SNES is younger than the MD by at least three years. You could never hope to replicate the graphics from Starwing and F-Zero on the MD so they are are surprisingly evenly matched technologically despite the age difference. The MD tried the 3D polygon approach with Hard Drivin and later Virtua Fighter

  • The sound effects is actually a lowered pitch version from the PCE port of Street Fighter II. That explains about the bad sound effects in the Genesis port of the original Street Fighter II.

  • I loved playing this game.

  • omg this game is awesome *-* brings me great memories from my childhood.

  • The SNES version sounds better though, in my opinion.

  • I can't understand why people are still having console wars with systems that were released YEARS ago. It's wrose enough we have the PS3 and X360 fanboys having console wars!

  • @ProTuner06: because you were not alive back then. It is spelled W-O-R-S-E.

  • @ProTuner06 because those consoles had real and memorable games which we love eternally, unlike the crappy ps3s and 360s

  • I can't understand why people say that colors makes snes be better...look if genesis had 32,000 it wouldn't change anything...what makes snes better is its resolution no pallet colors.

  • @tonmasboy Of course colours matter. With 32000 it gives devs far more subtle hues to choose from to create a more natural image. MD SF looks good, but the snes has far more progressive colour changes.

  • It's funny how even though the Snes had a LOT more colors than Mega drive, there are so many games that look better on the MD...

Take this game, Aladdin and Final Fight. They all look "crisper" on MD.

As if they were colored in with colored pencils on the SEGA, but with wax crayons for the Snes.

Maybe the Snes had too many colors in ratio to it's CPU power?

Don't underestimate CPU graphical influence. Look at PS3 exclusives.

  • Better then the SNES and PCE versions of Champion edition. To bad Super SSF2 for the Genesis despite a 40-Meg cart has nothing on the SNES version.

  • I am leaving this video, because I am tired of watching the title screen.

  • Well actually other countries had this game made for Sega. The music in Special Champion Edition is much better than the SNES version. Another example of what Sega does and Nintendon't. I agree, the music in the SNES verison doesn't win against the Genesis version.

  • @ThePatrickinator I disagree, I prefer way better the music in th snes version, but snes version doesn't have this badass intro, that's why i have both MD and snes game (turbo).

Talking in content terms, i'd say the md sf2 game can be a lot more accelerater, tha's a good thing, cuz even if you get your ass kicked, you will improve your reactivity for normal speed. The AI looks a lot more agressive in md version too.

  • Sega does is what Nintendon't. This game is a great example. What the Genesis version has which the SNES didn't was the intro from the arcade, better graphics, happier endings, and better arcade-like music. This game had a better promotion than Gunstar Heroes. This is why I think that this game should be #4 for top 10 best Sega Genesis games. Despite the bad sounds, this is a great import from the arcade version. The kicker thing is that this game was made for SEGA. No joke.

  • @ThePatrickinator Until super Street fighter 2 came to SNES and it has everything...

But yes, i like this version too, really better tham turbo edition (for some reason the music is not so good as it is in C Edition

  • Just noticed the black guy that gets punched in the intro was removed...

  • Though the sound quality for the most part is pretty bad, I love the music in this version.

  • @XLoWangX Yeah. The music is far superior in this version. It helps that the Genesis's chip is similar to the Arcade's.

  • @XLoWangX: I actually realized that the sound effects are ripped of from Eternal Champion.

  • once you master the blast move, you are unbeatable...

  • There's nothing special about this version except for crappy sound quality and having a white dude get knocked out instead of a black dude. Sega always did shitty copies of SNES games.

  • @Tampanda Troll Fail lawl

  • I didn't know Ken weighed 20lbs more than Ryu lol

  • what makes this a "special champ edition?

  • @chuckcharlee there is a new bonus stage, the brick wall, and it also adds the "4 bosses" who were not available in the previous snes version

  • @aiandel84 aactually the barrel smash was the newer bonus level.

  • @chuckcharlee It was halfway between the normal edition and Turbo - you could play as the bosses and some players had extra moves - Chun Li could do a fireball, for example. Others had different coloured costumes - Blanka was yellow and purple, if I remember right.

  • lol 3:07

  • brings back memories :)

  • @retromaniac617 lmao for real right..

  • @retromaniac617 It's the game demo!

  • SNES had way better Sound even to this day.

Sega Genesis/mega drive just looked cooler & had Sonic.
