I liked Constantine when I first saw it...then I started reading the comics. Taking nothing away from the film, but it's just not in the same league. To do Hellblazer properly would require a high budget British TV series, and unfortunately those words don't sit too well with each other. I've nothing against changes to source material where the story doesn't demand absolute adherence, but everything about Hellblazer is so 1980's Britain its impossible for it to be done justice any other way.
