Well, she said 500,000 workers would lose their jobs, as if that was some sort of big number, but in reality, 600,000 lost their jobs! the democrats WANT us to think that the number of people who lost their jobs that month was 16% lower than it actually was, thats because they want to distort reality or something, I dunno but this sounds like something an internet conspiracy theorist would make a big deal of.

Thinkfuture, ur missing the point. The salary cap only applies to companies that are begging for bailout money. If they're doing well and not needing anything from gov, then they can do whatever they want with the compensation.

So do u think it's the right thing to use YOUR tax money to help these companies only to end up being inside CEOs pockets for luxurious lifestyle? Not to mention they can't even run their companies to survive.

No I don't think its the right thing to use our tax money for anything like this. If a company is managed badly - it should die. This is why I'm saying we should cap it even lower - why not $100k? That way 99% of the companies wont take the stimulus cash and figure out how to get out of this on their. I'm sick and tired of using my money to bail out these people, period.

They claim they'll fill 3-4 million new jobs by the end of 2010, but I'm not so sure that's even realistic. But how much is the salary for these gov't workers in the stimulus projects?? Are the wages high or low? I know gov't bureaucracy jobs on average are around 20-30 grand, so I can't imagine stimulus jobs being much better, except high-tech jobs like engineering or working on alternative energy and research and whathaveyou.

My question is.... Obama bailed out corporations and put a salary cap on the CEO... When the hell is he going to put a salary or wage cap on the UAW workers who are bankrupting the Auto Industry. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander... right?
