  • Is this TV Station still broadcasting in Analog? I heard the station is not required since it's classified as Mexican broadcaster, unless you took the analog off the air too.

  • Maybe he could record the sign off and sign ons. There is a site dedicated to sign-on/offs.

  • some one is about to record the closedown of FOX6 to becomes San Diego's 6, and the closedown of SD's CW5 to FOX5 SD?

  • you better record the first moments of the cw on that station

  • I'm sure he will record those moments. The opener was posted on Stephen Arnold's music site. He did the music for those promos. He does music for KFMB as well. Not much in the way of set revisions. A new pair of graphics and the San Diego 6 izing of the news set.

  • Presentation is down. Can't find in an archive. Someone must have access to it.

  • The announcement was taken down a few days after it was posted. It was on the Baltimore Sun website. When Zell let the cat out of the bag about the affiliation switch, the tv gossip sites started spreading it like wildfire, forcing Tribune to delete the presentation. We all have to remember that no one really knows about the contract between XETV and FOX. For all intents and purposes, the next two years could have been an option for FOX to pick up on XETV which would have meant that the switch..

  • wouldn't have occurred until 2010. In other words, maybe the main contract between XETV and FOX corp.ended July of 08. Then maybe, just maybe FOX corp. had an option it could have picked up on XETV for two years. Kind of like what occurs in sports. Players have a main contract for X amount of years and money and then they might have an option for an additional year...

  • The team has the discretion of picking up that option, if they don't then they have to pay a buyout. Maybe this is the agreement between XETV and FOX. Who knows. We will see what happens in court. If XETV still decides to sue FOX. Best of luck to each party though.

  • @cbs8hd The reason for FOX to switch from XETV to KSWB was to broadcast their programs in digital/hi-definition while XETV wasn't required to convert to digital TV since the station is based out of Tijuana.

  • @EvolutionRider88 Eventually XETV did convert to digital at the June deadline.

  • @EvolutionRider88 Uh, no. XETV was already broadcasting FOX network programming in HD, so the switch had nothing to do with. The truth is very few people know the REAL reason FOX made the switch.

  • The Lawsuit would probably be with Fox for breach of contract. The new logo is the same San Diego 6 but with the CW logo on the right next to it. The CW logo is blue not green for this new station.
