The same is true with Hobby grade RC cars. 1/8 scale brushless electric cars will out accelerate a Nitro methane powered car of the same scale. Electric destroys all so much torque. Problem is Heat. Electric motors and speed controllers get HOT.
Like the steam engine, the electric motor produces MAXIMUM torque at stall while an I/C engine needs some RPM.
Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races & the Zombie has torque by the trainload, it's really that simple.
Too bad that it has taken 120 years to get this far & still we don't have battery capacity to match a tank full of fuel when it comes to long distance driving.
Looking forward to seeing this milestone reached in my lifetime. [They had better hurry]
This is brilliant- now just mfg. solar windows that recharge during daylight hours. Of course the Govt will never fully allow this technology, they make too much money off our suffering at the gas pumps. Imagine Interstate Batteries, Energizer, Duracel, etc... taking over the ranks that Shell, Chevron, & BP, currently have (while eliminating our dependancy on foreign oil?) The time to change is now...
wow... you almost got it.... now get a generator from a motorhome / bus and make it self charging then you will have a self supplying unit that charges as you use it ...

@rosal2006 Your onto something- A Motorhome can store enough and charge via Panels , etc.
The Motorhome can be completely off the Grid all together. Mhomes require TORQUE and thats one thing this motor offers by the Housefull! (Per se)
