starcraft is much more sucessful, alot more ppl play, there are tournaments worldwide. The game mechanics in command and conquer series are far too simple compared to starcraft. Korean pro gamers practice 40+ hourse a week to keep up with the competition and after 10 years of startcraft, they are still finding new stratigies to win.
far 2 simple? the only extra thing you have to worry about in sc is how many units you can support, other then that c&c is the same game only with more units
no no believe me starcraft is super comlex. For example, in C&C games, u start with a small tank, then upgrade ur tech to get a better tank then again to get an better tank. late game, the small tank lived out its usfulness because these 3 tanks are the same except for its strength. starcraft, late game u still use ur first units like zealots because when you upgrade, u dont get a stronger zealot , but u get a diffrent unit, like a dragoon, or reaver which makes the game sooo complexe to play.
Sure it was never serious as tiberium games but Ra2 was more serious than ra3 espically Yuri's Revenge. YR had a "saving the whole world" feeling. Ra3 is a great game game mechanics wise. But it's setting and story sucks.

You know, I though GTA would disappoint, and I was right (I thought it did anyway). By the looks of this, based on the story in the RA2 and the gameplay which I'd still go through today, I personally can't wait.
The problem was command and conquer 3 was a bit of a dissapointment, Skirmish is still king mode of all C&C games but it did not have the original feel to the game.

C&C 3 was just some weird remake of TD. It seems that someone pressed a magical button that reseted the whole storyline and technological level of units. It was more like C&C1.5.
most likely by ea since they took control of the command and conquer name. And westwood disbanded so they don't exist anymore. But most of them did join a new group "Petroglyph". They made Universe At War :D. Check it out on their website.

Actually EA is starting to turn around somewhat, CnC3 was great game. Not a revolutionary game but it was the next step for CnC so I wouldn't lose all hope. :)

How do you know, EA hasnt a great track record with the command and conquer franchise.

Anyone saying it'll be crap is wrong. RA2 was awesome, made by... EA (and Westwood admittedly). Tib Wars was a good game too.
You know, I though GTA would disappoint, and I was right (I thought it did anyway). By the looks of this, based on the story in the RA2 and the gameplay which I'd still go through today, I personally can't wait.
Don't knock it 'til you've tried it :)

The problem was command and conquer 3 was a bit of a dissapointment, Skirmish is still king mode of all C&C games but it did not have the original feel to the game.
Hoping the 3rd installment of red alert will be.

Ea is pushing the 3th faction fetish a bit too hard. Its the fucking cold war, east vs west, soviets vs allies, communists vs capitalists, this is what red alert is meant to be. The soviets arent the bad guys anymore I guess? The japs are? Why not call it White circle on white BG w/ red lines all around to make it like a rising sun-like figure alert?

C&C 3 was just some weird remake of TD. It seems that someone pressed a magical button that reseted the whole storyline and technological level of units. It was more like C&C1.5.

most likely by ea since they took control of the command and conquer name. And westwood disbanded so they don't exist anymore. But most of them did join a new group "Petroglyph". They made Universe At War :D. Check it out on their website.
