You have to change the boost from the actuator rod, lower the boost to about 11psi and you should be ok.. and i ran in the 1/4 a 14.5 but the track suck and i din't had good tires for drag racing, just my old all season 18 inch tires.. with some summer tires this car will run low 14's all day and with slicks it should be in the 13's..
hi civic pride my friend i have the same civic with the tsi turbo i paid like 5000 dollars with the kit, installation and tuning but i have the problem when i arrive like 6000 rpm or like 80 mph the rpm stops and i cannot accelarate and it appears the engine light what do you think about that? i have to turn off the car and turn on to get it normally
Sound like you are going into limp mode.. sometimes when the maf sensor detects to much way more air then normal then the car goes into a safe mode and will not allow you to accelerate, and the check engine light starts to blinking.. when this happens you have to reset your battery...
This only happen to me once, and that was when my car was not fully tune, but once the car gets tune, you should not have any problems..
I paid about 6k for the turbo and all the other parts and the installation and the tune the turbo is the TSI turbo kit, great company to buy from and they have excellent customer service... and i am currently making 210whp and 214lbs of torque at 11psi.. this is an old video of me only running 7/8psi..
how much WHP is our R18 able to handle, because theses numbers are ok for our motors, but what happens when the K-Motor guy or the B-Motor guy ups the PSI on us?? not bahsing, its just that ima boost head
No one knows, but there are guys already making 245whp that i know of with no issues, so am sure the motor can handle way more than what i am pushing. I plan to be close around 250whp and 240lbs of torque. that on slicks should be a nice mid 13's car.
Johnny2599, The Si's powerband is totaly different then a R18 boosted. You realize that he may get an si off the line, but he will not be able to maintain that at the "top-end" A Si will reel that R18 in and pass it up. But those are good numbers for a Turbo R18. I like the video from
