Great review as usual, Lisa. I like mine. My biggest complaint is its weak external speaker. Despite 2 cores and Android's newest OS, it still suffers Android lags, esp noticeable when switching between landscape and portrait.

@spededpat actually, the dark UI is a positive when it comes to screen display. Whites tax more on battery life than Blacks. The browser, as they didn't it out on the review, actually has a "view inverted" mode that makes the text white on black bground to save some battery.

Absolutely crappy phone, Slow Unresponsive UI as expected with Android, The worst camera I have seen on a high end phone costing something like 650 US$, Buggy Flash and over complicated OS. Over Hyped ..

Samsung S2 is still the best for Android users, Otherwise, Look no where beyond the iPhone4S. Fast, responsive,stable,robust and efficient OS, Best application, best camera phone on the market and best audio /music player.

I really want to get the Galaxy Nexus, but there's two things holding me back - the Cpu/GPU and camera. The CPU is the OLD Ti OMAP from the Nexus S, and the S2 should outperform the Nexus, even if it's several months old... and the CMOS camera isn't the best. Should I just wait for the HTC Edge? Because that phone looks to be AMAZING.

I really liked that you didn't shit all over the phone just because quadrant gave poor performance and in fact you even educated your viewers that quadrant is not optimal for ICS. @haiti1800 no we do have the international version of Galaxy SII, but you have to pay the premium of about $600. If you get it the service provider and a 2 year contract, it's either $150 or $200 depending upon the carrier. And we have the thinner version of Galaxy Nexus too, but you got to pay the $700+ premium.

I noticed that the virtual buttons only disappear to release their stronghold on screen real estate during full size video playback (which they should otherwise how would you make use of the true 16:9 aspect ratio of the screen...) Can you also force them to disappear during other apps like web browsing? They are pretty useless in that they reduce the usable screen area to the same size as the 4.5" Skyrocket screen. They must be a developer's nightmare too if the rules are ambiguous.

I went to Verizon to check out this phone and I was very pleased with the screen size and how sharp and vivid it is. This is like having a TV in your pocket with the 16:9 aspect ratio and 1280x720 resolution. A lot of people complain about the camera, but I think the camera is pretty decent, and the web browser is instant.

@EternalFantasy13 MP doesnt determine the quality of the pictures, only how many pixels are in it. And thats definitely not the most important. Its all dependent on the Lens and the Sensor of the camera. Thats why the iPhone 4's 5MP cam was better than some other 8MP cameras, it had a good sensor.
