Men i got no idea what the objective of this video is , waiting for some big ending and nothing hapens, watching a chic and a dude play with 2 mini notebooks all day, "chic is hot" anyway Nathaniel I Love you men but this video sucks, thnks for ur vids keep em up , love from 3ds max ,after effects and realflow addict from Amsterdam
Nathaniel Dodson (tutvid creator who also created this video) is quite creative and very talented. I'm amazed that he can not only get really good at Photoshop, but here he is displaying is videography skills as well. Amazing. That being said, I don't think this video really said much about these Adobe Apps. At the end of the video, I really had no idea what these things were or what they did. Heck, I wasn't even sure if that was something like the iPad but with Adobe apps.
The visuals are nice and the idea of getting artists out in our environment to source material for art and design is good, but we don't see the people's work or see how they put together things to bring home the point. There is no clear story here and you can do more with the time you have, but it's a good start.
@51supernova50 Actually, we held on to it for about 6 hours. From the Clothespin to Old City to Reading Terminal to LOVE Park to the Art Museum/ Water Works back to Avenue of the Arts out to Manayunk and the Philly U campus in East Falls. On a single charge and saw quite a few people tourists with iPads. This however was the Samsung galaxy 2. The full line of apps are not yet available for iOS until 2012.
@sharePDAMedia I think you missed my point about a high end gadget on the streets of philly. To make it more valid can you do the same in north philly?...better yet K&A or hunting park? To add I absolutely love my CS5 Complete but I won't touch apple/mac with a ....I think you get the point...
@3eneboy In reality this was never intended to be an ad. It is instead a promo for the 1st User Group unveiling/ launch party for the new Adobe Touch apps in the United States. Secondly this is not an iPad the full line of Adobe apps are currently only available to the Android Market. The Galaxy 2 shown runs about $450 and the Acer Iconia can be had on sale at $300 and shopping sites like QVC and HSN have payment plans where you can own for about $100 a month. The apps are only $10 a piece.
@LesterTiD It is a promo for the 1st Adobe User Group unveiling/ launch party for the new Adobe Touch apps in the United States. the video was shot as a teaser to an event on December 1st.This is the main reason that the apps were not focused on (they were shown).
@Fitnurd Yo Fitnurd! You can join the user group from the adobe website come out to a meeting sometime. We are planning to start doing photo and tablet walks in 2012.
All your vids are great and informative but this one was too long and boring. Would have rather watched you for 60 seconds talk about features of the software. Just saying.
@tsitra360 He hasn't made a tutorial in forever...And hasn't given us an update in forever...And all of a sudden he throws this derpness at us? It's lame. =(
@tsitra360 Thanks tsitra. Reading through the comments it looks like people really miss and want their tutvid-dot-com! Adobe Touch Apps: Photoshop Philadelphia was the first video shot exclusively for the Official Adobe User Group and not the regular tutorial people were expecting from this channel. Funny how many of the critics sat through the whole video (as noted more than several times) despite the title and description, instead of just moving on after realizing it was not a tutorial.
You guys focused way too much on the people and not the actual product. And probably too excited that you had a girl to be in the Ad. Horribly done. One more thing - why at 2:20 has she got a picture of a guy up instead of painting the wonderful scenery? Terrible.
Worst ad ever. For 3 long minutes i did not get the main point and didn't see advertised product. Is this was an Ipad advertising? Caz all i see is some dude and girl walking around with an Ipad
Cool video. Like the cinematography and the music. The shots at the end are great especially the shot with the girl backlit and the pillars. I prefer the second half then the first and the pitch is spot on.
This was a nice concept, poor execution. If you were going to make us sit through a 3 minute commercial instead of a 30 sec- 1 minute commercial at least have some screen shots of the software your advertising. This is just a bad 3 minute music video featuring the iPad. The cinematography and editing were good though.
this is bullshit, 3 minutes of some hipsters using the ipad without even showing the app and wtf they're doing... for all i care they could be playing angry birds
The new video(Posted Nov 30) seems to be cycling through youTube servers. Refresh your browsers to make sure that you are seeing the remixed version on this video. It is the one featuring an original track "Pick It Up Again" by Philly native Mark Boyce. If you are commenting on the video with an instrumental it is the wrong one!
@2012sDude how about not being a total @-hole,your opinion may be right in your eyes but it is definitely not a shared opinion so plz go crawl back to your sofa with ipad and pretend people actually like you oh and have a nice day pal
Fuck the likes to dislikes ratio, I loved this. Very well put together. I can see the effort put forth and quite honestly I was interested throughout the entire video.
at the end what was she doing with the the screen blank.

Like the tuts but this video is pretty boring! You stretch a 15 second commercial into a 3 minute music video. Not a smooth transition.
