This song's lyrics are wonderful; they really paint a vivid picture of God's love. Right now, with Hurricane Irene pummeling the East coast, I can't help but think of how overwhelming God's love is when we allow ourselves to really receive it.

i love this song, our youth band sings it in our church. im on the main worship team and i lead the youth worship team, and i like bringing in new songs because it influences the main worhip team to branch out into newer genres :3

it's a nondenominational church, but for some reason the worship pastor decided that he didn't like the lyrics, so he wouldn't let me do it. yeah....

Do they allow you to play anything other than standard time-tested hymns?

yeah, i mean we do hillsong and stuff, but a lot of it is obscure, modified, customized, and kinda butchered variations. that and lots of not any good random songs that don't have much depth.

The church I attend has over 4000 members and the worship leader has included this song at least a couple times that I can think of as well as other songs from this CD. Maybe it's time to find another place to worship or even possibly speaking with the person who is over your worship leader.

i mean, i play in one of the worship bands and lead songs and stuff, so i try to influence where i can, but since im just a student i have no actual say in decisions with the staff guys. it's tough, cuz there are things that this church teaches that i just don't agree with, but they get so many other things so very right and the people are just so amazing, that i've had to make a decision as to which is more important. and so far i've stuck with them.

i know what you mean. Our worship leader wouldn't let us play Here is Our King because of the line, "what was once said to the rose to make it unfold". He felt like it wasnt masculine enough for him to sing or something.

@tsamneb I understand what you mean..it's very hard. I'm a praiseleader at my church and my pastor doesn't approve of some songs but it is because we are to lead praise for God and God gives us everything we need in the Bible. The bible is the truth and His word, and therefore praise songs need to be filled with the words of God. My pastor said he wasn't disapproving the song, he was just saying there are better songs to sing praise with

This song is a very good worship song, it's soothing and calms my worries and troubles, also reminds me of how much Christ loves His children. I'm glad to be in the house of the Lord!! Oh how He loves Us!!!
