The base elements that make all matter including living things? Carbon is a key ingrediant in life on Earth, and its why we have fossil fuels on top of it all since dead plants and animals can become coal/oil given the right circumstances.
Once the right elements combne (perfectly capable on it's own) they become amino acids and lipids, which are what made the primitive cells that later evolved to what we have now. It's not so hard to grasp, it's easy to understand, and makes much more sense given what we see in the fossil record about life starting simple and becoming more complex with time. If we were all created at once the fossil record would be a jumbled mess instead of an orderly progression.

you misunderstand the "putting on your bible glasses" argument...the argument is not to say evolution is wrong and use the bible to prove it/fit scientific evidence to your desired conclusion. the bible is already assumed to be true, just as in evolution a process independent of change within nature independent of higher powers is assumed. the idea is to view scientific fact within a biblical framework, not to "fit" facts into the bible...and this is only the beginning of your misunderstandings.

Just a point, I dont know everything but I have read that medevil churches in Britain actually had pictures, records and scriptures stating their belief the world was round dating from around three hundred years before even when they possessed them. I think this would have been even before the christopher columbus escapades. Thus the statements that the church scoffed at christopher columbus about the world being round are completely unfounded. You need to look up how to explain some things you think Science proves. The salt content in the ocean. At the rate salt is entering the ocean every year the ocean would be completely salt by now if the earth was billions of years old. Study genomes and you will find that there is no evidence of new information ever being created. For evolution to be true you need new information to be created constantly. If you actually study science you would find more evidence for a young earth.

I am an evolutionary atheist and marsupials are indeed an interesting subject. This video does a disservice to my cause to be honest. Marsupials are actually quite well spread around the world (notably the possum), but the origin and spread of marsupials is not so well known. The oldest known marsupial fossil dates back 125mya in China.
my mother (yes, shut up. she has a degree in zoology) says that marsupials are a primitive form of mammal and mark the progression of external pregnancy (eggs and stuff) up to internal pregnancy. i have researched this and it is debated but an alright theory methinks.

Once the right elements combne (perfectly capable on it's own) they become amino acids and lipids, which are what made the primitive cells that later evolved to what we have now. It's not so hard to grasp, it's easy to understand, and makes much more sense given what we see in the fossil record about life starting simple and becoming more complex with time. If we were all created at once the fossil record would be a jumbled mess instead of an orderly progression.

you misunderstand the "putting on your bible glasses" argument...the argument is not to say evolution is wrong and use the bible to prove it/fit scientific evidence to your desired conclusion. the bible is already assumed to be true, just as in evolution a process independent of change within nature independent of higher powers is assumed. the idea is to view scientific fact within a biblical framework, not to "fit" facts into the bible...and this is only the beginning of your misunderstandings.

In fact, there are millions of assumptions you have to make to DO science: you have to believe that the laws of mathematics are relevant, that history is relevant, and so on. My point was that different starting points cause different conclusions; if you start with a wrong presupposition, it doesn't matter how good your research is, the conclusion will be WRONG.

Not only do the obvious problems prove the Flood never happened, but there are very accurate scientific tests, such as; Ice core samples from the poles, ocean floor core samples, tree ring data going back 10K yrs, extremely accurate dating methods, etc. They all demonstrate that there was never a world flood!

Just a point, I dont know everything but I have read that medevil churches in Britain actually had pictures, records and scriptures stating their belief the world was round dating from around three hundred years before even when they possessed them. I think this would have been even before the christopher columbus escapades. Thus the statements that the church scoffed at christopher columbus about the world being round are completely unfounded. To open our eyes is the only way to the truth.

You need to look up how to explain some things you think Science proves. The salt content in the ocean. At the rate salt is entering the ocean every year the ocean would be completely salt by now if the earth was billions of years old. Study genomes and you will find that there is no evidence of new information ever being created. For evolution to be true you need new information to be created constantly. If you actually study science you would find more evidence for a young earth.

No we did not ascend from monkeys or even African chimps. We share a common ancestor with them. Long ago there was a bipedal primate and from that common ancestor we and Chimps branch off. Think of it as a Y shape twig. The top parts of the Y is us and the Chimps and the bottom part is our common ancestor. African Chimps are simply our closest relative in the animal kingdom. We are more like cousins.

I am an evolutionary atheist and marsupials are indeed an interesting subject. This video does a disservice to my cause to be honest. Marsupials are actually quite well spread around the world (notably the possum), but the origin and spread of marsupials is not so well known. The oldest known marsupial fossil dates back 125mya in China.

my mother (yes, shut up. she has a degree in zoology) says that marsupials are a primitive form of mammal and mark the progression of external pregnancy (eggs and stuff) up to internal pregnancy. i have researched this and it is debated but an alright theory methinks.
