  • lucky the bird was removed, otherwise bengali wouldnt stand a chance

  • At 1:07 the birds like "RAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!" lol

  • Comment removed

  • Wow. Now that's a REAL Angry Bird. D:

  • just a quick question how many cats are in each enclosure or are they seperate and i hope tony the tiger gets the good life he deserves gratz on the fantastic work

  • @TheOctoman34 Most cats live by themselves, all cats are solitary and they prefer this, we have enclosures with 2 or 3 cats that live together also, if they get along we want them to have companionship :)

  • @BigCatRescue love the video but that wasn't a blue harring it was just a grey harring up hear in pensacola we have blue harring every where

  • LOL PRESS 5

  • That is definitely not a Great Blue Heron. If it was, it would have been almost as tall as the guy in the video. :P

  • Chainsaw sound means that the bird is about to kick your ass.

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • XD 1:14 nooooooo! i love birds but there crazy! sorry wish i could donate you guys are doing a great thing

  • @JACOBDDIXON13 This one was very lucky!

  • One pissed off bird

  • what an annoying bird i would have fed him to the tiger

  • The bird is going: "WTF FIRST A TIGER AND NOW *YOU*!"

  • Bengali lays down at the end and that look on his face is like "Aw, damn it!"

  • 2:09 - 2:13

When the bird bit the camera almost, I backed away from my laptop.

  • 2:11

    What are you staring at?

  • 2:43 Where the frack is the bird?!

  • 1:16 rape, raaaape

  • bird:WHAT THE HELL LET ME GO YOU DUMBASS! I`LL DRINK YOUR LAST BEER

LET ME GOOOO!!!!!!! ILL PECK YOU EYES

    #lets go*

bird:SO LONG SUCKA!!IM STILL GONNA DRINK YOUR LAST BEER!

  • You're such a nice guy for saving that bird!

  • I have to admit, I laughed so hard when Scott managed to get his hands on the Heron. The noise it made! You would think he was trying to kill it! I know it's instinct/natural, but still it made me laugh.

  • i dont understand, its just one bird, so what if the cat eats it.

  • I know jack shit about handling tigers but if you had coverd the birds eyes with the cloth it would have calmed down almost instantanly.

  • @Tapecutter59 he probably didnt want to get to close to the beak, i fyou were listening he said it has a huge beak, i woulnd put my hand to close to it ,just to get bit

  • penna

  • That was terrific. defintiely never a dull moment at a zoo. I had to help haul a huge alligator snapping turtle out of our zoo's duck pond once.

  • it's a good thing the camera was between you and the bird. im glad no one got hurt during the video. that was one angry bird; although i don't think he was mad i think he was just extrememly scared he didn't know what was going to happen to him. thank you guys from BCR for helping one more innocent animal! you guys rock!!!

  • I'm glad too! I would of been scared too if Bengali was chasing me around his cage...poor bird! :)

  • The guy seems more comfortable with the cats than the bird!

  • caterwauling the entire time he dragged it out of the pen, and shut up as soon it flew off... lol Xl

  • that was one pissed bird lol

  • Lol with the dramatic music! The bird is like, "Nooo! He's got meee!" at 1:14 ahahahahaha!

  • That was one lucky bird, Bengali would of played with him/her very harshly! :)

  • THat is just a juvenile black crowned night heron. A great blue heron is 4ft tall, and much more difficult to handle.

The screaming is just a defensive fear based response.

  • hahahahahaha that is indeed one angry bird! XD

  • You're telling me, I was glad the camera was in between me and that bird!

  • i would be to....so glad it didnt turn around a peck you! that would have been horrible!

  • wow that is really funny

  • Thanks!

  • lol !!! 2:10

  • SCARY BIRD :)

  • wow, you guys have it hard. Do you like working there? i would.

  • It's hard long days but job satisfaction is high, I love working here nice to know you make a difference everyday :)

  • Geez, that is crazy.

  • lol at the end Bengali is like "WTF, wheres the bird?"

  • Yeah, he just wanted to play! Lucky bird!!!

  • We had a Great Blue Heron land fly into our house a few months back. It scared the dogs and my mom and brother, and my dad was at work, so it was up to me to get the noisy thing outside. I threw a towel over it, covered its head so it wouldn't freak, and carried it outside. I'm glad he wasn't quite as noisy as the one in this video, though...

  • Good job, this bird was really noisy, then again I think I'd be screaming if a tiger had been chasing me around a cage for a while!

  • Man that sounds like one unhappy bird...

  • Yeah, would of been even unhappier if we'd left him in there!

  • that bird reminded me of my cat when she goes crazy lol

  • i would of let the tiger eat the damn annoying bird

  • Yeah, that would of been easier, don't think the bird would of been a fan of that plan though :)

  • Too many large cats. They eat too much meat!

  • They do, it costs us $7500 a year to feed just one lion or tiger!

  • Maybe you'd save money if you stopped rescuing the free snacks. xD

  • that bird sounded annoying as fuck.

  • lol i dont think bengali was very happy that scott rescued the bird.

  • how did that bird even got in the tiger's cage

  • The enclosures are made with 4x4 inch steel mesh we think it just squeezed through to try and get the fish in the tiger pool! Bad idea!

  • My budgie sounds like that too when you hold it like that lol. I guess birds dosnt like being trapped in somevones hands xD.

They will do anything to get free, bite, scream blalba lol. Poor tiger stuck in a cage :( Let him go back wherever he came from. Sure he might die but he will die in freedom

  • That bird really didn't like it! But staying in the cage with Bengali would of been worse! Bengali is a former circus tiger that as been retired to the sanctuary, our ultimate goal is to put ourselves out of business, so there is no more cats living in cages.

  • cats eat birds all the time, that one got real lucky !

  • Yeah it was nearly a tiger snack!

  • That tiger looked like it wanted to play with that bird still after it got let out.

  • lol wow was that bird ever angry at you XD! What a sound haha geez

  • Yeah that was a scary bird, but very lucky we got there in time, I thought it should be happy with us!?

  • LMAO that was very funny..... angry bird dude..

Are you sure Bangali was gonna eat the bird or it was the bird.. gonna eat you and the tiger.. LoL

  • It was a scary bird, it might of given Bengali a hard time!

  • Wow that bird had some good lungs on him! You guys rock for taking care of the birds too!

  • Wow its a great that you help these animals. Even the ones who don't want your help (the bird) When I get out of school. I want to work at the ASPCA in my city & Maybe if BigCatRecue is still open I might want to volenteer there!

  • Bengali appears to like Scott.

I just watched a video, 'Working Around Tigers,' in which Bengali was one of the tigers who didn't like Brian.

I thought that if the cats liked one person they liked them all; and if they disliked a person they disliked them all.

    I guess that's not true?

  • u guys r awesome.. :)

  • vickiormindyb, that was a sad event, hopefully we can learn from the San Francisco incident and prevent anything like that happening in the future.

  • I discovered you guys after hearing about Tatiana the tiger. She was the cat who was shot and killed by police after attacking some teenage boys who had been bothering her.

Some of your videos were in the Related Videos section.

Hearing Tatiana's fate deeply saddened me; she was only 5 years old.

I wish she could have lived her life at your sanctuary rather than at the San Francisco zoo. If she had to be in captivity, she would have been better off at Big Cat Rescue.

  • What the bird told his bird buddies when he got home:

"What a day! First, a tiger tried to eat me! I fought and fought, then finally killed him!"

"Then a biped caught me, wrapped me in tin foil, and tried to put me in an oven! I thought I was a goner! But I pecked his eyes out and got away. Whew!"

Of course, if it was a girl bird, she told the truth.(;^)

  • CattyCatRanch, that was hilarious. THANK YOU for the giggles!! I have to pass this one on.

  • How did you get Bengali to go into his lockout instead of concentrating on the bird?

I can't distract my cat for anything when she's chasing a bird or bug. She's a one-track mind kitty when she sees a potential snack.

  • VickiOrMindyB, The cats are used to being called into their lockout for various reasons, food, treats, etc. We do this daily so they are used to it just in case there is ever an emergency that we need them in there quickly. The treats in his lockout looked more appealing to him that the bird did.

  • What a beautiful sanctuary you have..that was one unhappy bird;at least shes happy now..the tiger is sure to forgive you for taking the bird away..how long has your organisation been running for?fab video?

  • Tuktukskagal, if you go to our main website BigCatRescue*org (replace the * with a . ) look down the left side at the "ABout Us" link and it will walk you through the whole history of Big Cat Rescue.

  • That was one unhappy bird XD

And how upset the tiger was over losing his toy/lunch, good for the bird though.

  • This video ought to hit a million views!

    Thanks for rescuing Tweetie Bird!

  • This guy is HOT!!! Whats his name ??

  • jo131169, this gentleman's name is Scott, he is Operations Manager for Big Cat Rescue. We call him The Animal Guy. Scott is a real hero for the animals!!

  • How did that big bird fit itself into the cage? The squares look smaller than the bird.

  • i can't stop laughing while watching this vid!! more power to big cat rescue!!!

  • WOW,Scott you made him mad!

    XD

  • Wow for a couple of minutes that bird looked more dangerous then Bengali. Glad you saved it from becoming Bengali's lunch/dinner.

  • 2:03-2:12 hilarious

  • I think you rescued Bengali!! That bird was pissed!

  • awesome!!!

  • Great rescue!

    Thanks.:)

  • WOW that bird was huge!!!!

  • Oh now that was one mad bird Lol. I jumped at the end as it came up to the camera and hissed at me. Ha Brave man. Peace Love and Happiness!

  • its my ex-wife?

  • Must be fun. Enjoy!

  • Hilarious! That Bird was Pissed! You are lucky he did not thank you with a good strike to your face! Glad it had a happy outcome!

  • That's one ticked off bird! Glad neither of you hurt each other.

  • man that's one nasty birdie... how did it really get on the cage?

  • werttinen, birds can squeeze through the four by four inch holes.

  • The poor bird. It was certainly freaking out when you got it, but you and the bird made it out unscathed, so congratulations. I hope it learned it's lesson too. I never knew herons screeched like that, either, so I learned something new today.

  • great video and a quite surprising screech.

  • You are a brave man! Nice "Thank You" from the bird eh?

  • What's the animal in the background at 1:57

  • UncleFugu, that is a common house cat. Check out some of the other videos and you'll see the staff and vounteers playing with the domestic house cats(since we never play with the wild cats). There are a few of them that hang around so of course we feed and care for them.

  • Cool! I suppose not all of your cats are big ones. =)

  • BCC,

My visit to your incredible rescue was the highlight of my Florida vacation. But one question: visitors were told NOT to touch the domestic cats that followed the tour. Why?

  • I bet that would hurt a hella lot if he nipped you! Great work setting him free though!

  • you deleted the last video! anyways, the bird is really funny!

  • At the end that's so cute, Bengali's like ''where's the birdy?? I still wanna play!''

    LOL

And yes that bird was creepy/freaky lol

  • that bird is hella funny

  • Ah, I thought it was like a cartoon scream, but damn that bird was scared! Then again, what sound would you make if you were able to escape getting eaten by a big-o tiger and now this man is grabbing you? HA!

  • I think that bird is actually an anahinga, not a great blue heron.

  • what a creepy sound!

  • I'm sorry, it was creepy, but almost in a cartoon way. Not that I laughed, but it sounded so strange and unreal, like it was a person screaming.

  • the bird is very pissed off..lol..next time may want to cover head with towel..to reduce stress. just a suggestion..other then that very nice vid.beautiful cats thanks

  • You're right, but I'm sure he was just happy to catch the bird any way at all that wasn't hurting it!
