Superb documentary. It captures the feel of ancient Edo Japan and modern life in a brilliant combination, accompanied by some great music. Because of the late broadcast time I can't always watch it on TV, so I'd love to have it on DVD.

Much of the music in the series is based on a Japanese folk melody about the Tokaido. Using that theme, the music was specifically composed and adapted for the series by Guy Cuyvers. To hear the original key in "O edo nipponbashi" in You Tube.
