I liked PSO's a little better but the PSØ's is quite

dude nothing can ever top PSO unless they make PSO2 on Wii, it can stay true to almost ever part of PSO!!! man i miss playing on the cube offline

There is one other thing besides PSO2 that could top PSO.

And that would be Sega returning the series to it's roots. By releasing an epic single player science-fantasy adventure, like the first four Phantasy Star Games were.
