I agree totally, Harry. I'm a huge fan of The Hives, and I'm also a huge fan of Saul Williams. I think this is an interesting, very well-crafted cover that shows respect for the original while still bringing new perspective to the song. Yes, the original is an incredibly deep meditation on race, but I've read of Pelle's admiration of the song, and I think The Hives do a great job covering it. Is Saul's version better? Of course, but it's HIS song. When is a cover ever better than the original?
