  • If Kechara house have mediation for busy people, will be very nice. thanks.

  • I like Tsem Rinpoches teachings because they are modern and no-frills, like a self-help programme, yet based on the profound Buddhadharma of the Gaden lineage. Im so thankful for these free videos on youtube.

  • Yes, I saw pictures of Tsem Rinpoche in Bodhgaya India and Swayambunath stupa in Tsemtulku(dot)com. It is a great experience to go on pilgrimage with ones Guru. I wonder if Tsem Rinpoche organises this annually?

  • Hi, Tsem Rinpoche have brought students to Bodhgaya and Swayambunath before. I read that from Kechara House website. I read from many of the comments of youtube videos that the organisation of Tsem Rinpoche- Kechara, there is a department called Kechara Discovery that handles all these pilgrimages with Tsem Rinpoche, unfortunately they (the pilgrimages) are for invited guests or students of Tsem Rinpoche only for now.

  • I have never seen such a group of young and fun, yet dedicated Dharma people. This is rare. Check out the fun videos of karaoke fundraiser, then theres video of JJ, David and Dharma Princess as well. Nice to see young and fun people.

  • Kechara House people are really a bunch of hardworking people. They have various daily pujas at the centre from Monday to Thursday; and then on Friday and Sunday, they have Dharma classes like Lamrim class and Sunday Manjushri class. They also have Kechara Soup Kitchen that goes out to distribute food to 500 homeless folks weekly.

  • I heard they are building a huge retreat centre on the hills. May be Rinpoche will have a huge audience and give talks at the retreat centre? I wonder if Rinpoche will be holding any talks in stadiums like the self-help Gurus? That would be cool!

  • I think the pilgrimage with Tsem Tulku is for selected disciples of Tsem Tulku only. But, there is a department under Kechara that is handling this Kechara Discovery. I heard in one of the videos that Kechara Discovery will organise pilgrimage to holy places in Nepal, Tibet, China and India in the future. I just cant wait to sign up on one of those trips!

  • Yes, I saw pictures of Tsem Rinpoche in Bodhgaya India and Swayambunath stupa in Tsemtulku(dot)com. It is a great experience to go on pilgrimage with ones Guru. I wonder if Tsem Rinpoche organises this annually?

  • I wish I have the chance to visit a great monastic university like Gaden with my teacher. Do you know if Tsem Rinpoche is planning a trip to Bodhgaya or Swayambunath? I very much wish to go with Tsem Rinpoche.

  • Rinpoche's previous incarnation was the Abbot of Gaden Shartse, Gedun Nyedrak. He was formally recognised and enthroned by H.E. Kensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche and the oracular pronouncement of Gaden Shartse's Protector Setrap Chen.

  • There is a department in Kechara called Kechara Discovery, which organises these pilgrimages. I hope they organise tours soon so that I can participate! I think going with this department is better than any tour agent because they really focus on the spiritual aspect of the tour, and of course, they themselves are Dharma practitioners.

  • Yes I heard that now in Gaden Monastery in India, there are monks who came from Yara Tsem Monastery and have became great teachers/ scholars/ practitioners. Tsem Rinpoche really contributes to Gaden Monastery and Buddhadharma not only in this life!

  • It is amazing how Tsem Tulku Rinpoches previous and current incarnations mission seemed to be bringing Dharma to places where it is not condusive. In Rinpoche's previous life as the abbot of Tsem Monastery, Rinpoche was also known to bring Dharma to people of Yara in Tibet.

  • That's exactly it. It is incredible that Rinpoche was raised in America, and therefore was able to speak English and knows the pop culture well. Rinpoches upbringing makes him accessible and people can relate much more to his life than a Golden Child who was recognised and raised in the monastic community.

  • It is amazing how he grew up in the capital of materialism United States, and yet never stray from his spiritual path. How many of us can give all the up to become a monk and live in poverty in India? I do think he really is a Bodhisattva. If it was me, bring on the burgers and fries and let me stay in Los Angeles.

  • I think the very fact that Rinpoche was sent to America since he was child shows us it was not a coincident but a premeditated event that Rinpoche planned out his rebirth. He is now able to teach his students more effectively as he himself has gone through the life of a lay practitioner in a modern materialistic environment.

  • Tsem Rinpoche is definitely a Bodhisattva amongst men. He is kind, skillful, generous, and has authentic lineage to back him up. He can also convey the in English and not just Tibetan. Imagine he started Kechara from nothing. He went to Malaysia with nothing and now Kechara has 12 departments and growing.

  • I hope with Tsem Tulku Rinpoches effort and hard work in Malaysia, things like this will change. With Rinpoches promoting Dharma through the KECHARA organisation of 12 departments, people will be exposed to and get to learn Dharma.

  • Yes, I think the more reason Tsem Rinpoche and other teachers should (and they are) establishing Dharma centres and encouraging people to get involved in spiritual practice. These people need Dharma too!

  • You are right, Rinpoche is real Bodhisattva, he sacrificed his own opportunity for meditational retreat and went to teach in a foreign land that is not very conducive for pure Dharma practices. Unlike in countries where there is mass Buddhist consciousness and ingrained culture like Nepal, Tibet and India, other countries are unfortunately more concerned about materialism than spirituality.

  • Tsem Rinpoche must be a Bodhisattva because he agreed and was sent to a foreign country and forego his own goals to meditate in the mountains and remain in Gaden. I think thats how he flew to Malaysia and started his Dharma teaching career.

  • I read an info booklet about Tsem Tulku Rinpoche and the heading was A Bodhisattva among us. I think it fits real well, as Tsem Tulku Rinpoches Bodhisattva deeds of teaching and propogating the Dharma, and sponsoring the monasteries.

  • There is this positive energy with the puja rituals, may be it's because the monks held are pure and the purpose they did the puja was to benefit others.

  • This shows that Tsem Rinpoche really has strong faith in Gaden, an institution that spread Buddhadharma teachings to help all sentient beings. May Gaden continue to exist into the future to produce more masters like Tsem Rinpoche.

  • Apart from helping to support a community of 3000 monks through making offerings and sponsorship, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche also promotes Gaden wherever Rinpoche goes. Even this documentary was inspired by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.

  • Apart from that, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche also helped the monastery through building monk hostels, monthly donation of groceries to poor Tibetan families and other projects, mainly helping to source funds for the monastery as well, which is a great task.

  • I read that in comments in other youtube videos that Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is renowned in Gaden monastery for his meditations, his extensive retreats and for his Guru Devotion.

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche must be an esteemed Lama because he was offered a high throne to sit on and also a pandit's hat in the presence of the holy Sangha of Gaden.

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche looks very at home in the monastic environment, surrounded by the other monks who welcomed his visit to the monastery. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche must have been a great help to the monastery to receive such big and warm welcomes everywhere he goes in the monastery.

  • Its great to see that the monks now can concentrate on learning and practising Buddhism instead of doing physical labour to build the monastery.

  • Many great Geshes and Rinpoches had to spend their time to physically build the monastery from scratch, by cutting through the bushes/ trees, building the building themselves etc. It is not just raising funds from sponsors and wait for the building to be built!

  • I rejoice for the pilgrims who perform acts of offerings and also to be there to experience a day in the live of a Gaden Sangha. They are very kind and generous and may I too be able to do that in the near future.

  • We must support the monks in any way we can so they can carry on practising and teaching the Dharma. These monks are very important to keep Buddhadharma going for the next generation.

  • Gaden Monastery in Tibet was prophesized by Buddha Shakyamuni, and that one of Buddha's disciple buried a conch shell to where Gaden Monastery was to be built . And when it came to Lama Tsongkhapa's time, he used his clairvoyance to locate the conch shell and proceeded to build the monastery on top of it.

  • This must be a very great experience for them, to see where their lineage originates from and to witness how hard the Sangha of Gaden work to promote and preserve the holy Buddhist tradition.

  • Yes, these great masters escaped from Tibet to a totally foreign country with nothing, and still able to restore the tradition. This shows that they are really sincere in preserving the Buddhadharma and did not give up in the face of adversity.

  • The current Gaden Monastery was set up in 1969 in Mundgod, South India. Many Sangha members, especially the senior monks who escaped from Tibet, have sacrified and put in a lot of effort to set up the monastery.

  • What a great offering to the Sangha of the mother monastery. I think this is the first time for the many of the pilgrims to visit and participate in activities of a Tibetan Monastery.

  • How nice to see the holy Sangha members of Gaden, from one of the 3 great monastic universities of Gelukpa. They sacrifice their own pursuits and selfish goals in life in order to benefit others through learning, practising and teaching the Dharma.

  • Is Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's previous incarnation was the Abbot of Shartse Monastery, Khenpo Gendun Nyentra? Where can I find more of the information of Rinpoche? Thank you.

  • drakula101: yes, Rinpoche's previous incarnation was the Abbot of Gaden Shartse, Gedun Nyedrak. He was formally recognised and enthroned by H.E. Kensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche and the oracular pronouncement of Gaden Shartse's Protector Setrap Chen. The pronoucement was confirmed by H.H. the Dalai Lama. You'll be able to find out more info about Rinpoche on his website (tsemtulkuDOTcom) :)

  • this monastery (Gaden monastery)is the extension of the original one in Tibet. In Tibet the original Gaden was built 600 years ago by Lama Tsongkhapa. And it was predicted by Lord Buddha himself. Shartse and Jangtse belong to one monastery, but because of administration, it separates. So myself (Tsem Tulku) i am responsible for Gaden Shartse Monastery. [time 6:52]

  • It is truly a home coming event. I had no idea the monastery is so well structured and serves as a school to many.

  • Hi yap7128, yes of course you can go to Gaden Monastery! The best way would be to arrange it through Kechara Discovery, which is KH's in-house travel agency. Why? Because they know Gaden, the history, the lineage, they know the monks and they have had a lot of experience with arranging for pilgrimages.

  • Hahaha I think arranging a pilgrimage for 63 people is pretty good experience!

Anyway, don't you you think going with Kechara Discovery is better than going with any other tour group where you don't come away with anything apart from photographs? ;) if you want more info about Kechara Discovery, you can find it through kecharaDOTcom.

  • May Rinpoche have long life to continue to bless us with his teachings..

  • Yes, I agree with you too. In Rinpoche's previous life as the abbot of Tsem Monastery, Rinpoche was also known to bring Dharma to many others, especially in the remote district in Tibet where RInpoche tught

  • Not only that, Rinpoche's previous lives was said to be very well known for teaching Dharma.

  • He is definitely a Bodhisattva amongst men. In this day and age, how many kind, skillful, generous, authentic teacher and can convey the Dharma to you in English did we come across? Even the very fact that Rinpoche was sent to America since he was child shows us it was not a coincident but a premeditated event that Rinpoche planned out his rebirth.

  • That's exactly it. It is incredible that Rinpoche was raised in America, and therefore was able to learn English. It is incredible that Rinpoche had the upbringing he had, because it makes him accessible and relatable to so many people. People simply cannot (and should not) dismiss Rinpoche and the wisdom he shares, because that wisdom has helped him go through many obstacles and hardships unscathed.

  • That's why whenever I look at Rinpoche, I think, "Oh yeah, there's living proof that Dharma works and the Buddha exists". Despite all he has been through, Dharma has 'protected' Rinpoche (not that a Buddha who is free from karma needs any protection!), and he has come through life without anger, malice, and mistaken views. He holds his vows, practises Guru Devotion and promotes the Dharma constantly. Incredible. If you check out tsemtulkuDOTcom, you can read more about his background :)

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is really a Bodhisattva. Not only does Rinpoche teach, sponsor the monasteries, and also agreed to be sent to a foreign country and forego Rinpoche's goal to meditate in the mountains and remain in Gaden. With his Gurus' instructions, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche flew to Malaysia to start his Dharma teaching career.

  • cokeismyit, you're right Rinpoche is real Bodhisattva, he sacrificed and postpone his own practice or retreat to come to teach in a foreign land that is not very conducive or receptive to pure Dharma practices. Most people here are unfortunately more attracted to spiritual for selfish gains, commercial motives or to clear financial problems or other obstacles like spirits disturbs.

  • Hahaha Ninje08, you sound so pessimitic! ;) i think things are definitely changing though! People who are out for selfish gains, commercial motives, etc are increasing their suffering...and they are the people who (sooner or later) will need the Dharma! For example, Chinese culture teaches to donate to religious organisations right? Whether or not they are doing it ostentatiously, it's okay **for the time being**...at least they are doing something meritorious!

  • By KH existing, it allows those people to collect some good karma and create some merit...like people who donate meat to monks begging for alms - monks still accept the meat in order to allow those sponsors to collect some merit.

Therefore, at the very least, those people are still doing some dharma (and therefore gaining some benefit) even if their motivation isn't entirely pure.

  • Let's pray that their constant exposure to holy images and words plants seeds in their minds...and those seeds one day fruition so that their motivations will change!

  • Gaden is so beautiful, and the sense of grandeur when Rinpoche was invited into the hall, and when other monks make offering to him, it is so serene yet grand! May be it's because the monks held their vows well and only focuses on daily Dharma practice and benefitting others.

  • Tashi Delek Rinpoche.

Your video has illuminate my spiritual path and it is something that I have searched for a long time. What you have said in your video is true Dharma and I now have an idea of what Buddhist teaching is all about. Please continue to post many videos so that people like me can learn more about the Dharma.

  • Apart from helping to support a community of 3000 monks through making offerings and sponsorship, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche also promotes Gaden wherever Rinpoche goes. Rinpoche really has strong faith in Gaden, an institution that spread Buddhadharma teachings to help all sentient beings.

  • I read that in interviews with many Gaden monks, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is renowned in Gaden monastery for his meditations, his extensive retreats and for his Guru Devotion. I also got to know how Rinpoche helped the monastery through building monk hostels, monthly donation of groceries to poor Tibetan families and other projects.

  • I like the part of Tsem Tulku Rinpoche making offerings to his root guru's current incarnation. I wonder how that would feel? Kyabje Zong Rinpoche is a great teachers to many. Do you know that his students are among the Lamas that founded the most Buddhist centres in the world?

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is a great Lama who promotes Setrap very much. Setrap Puja brought results and that's why it is organised every Monday and Tuesday in Kechara House and it is always packed. They have the puja in English on Monday and Chinese on Tuesday.

  • Yes, yoshirolisette, He definitely brings great results! Wrathful emanation of Amitabha, you don't mess with power like hahaha ;)

Setrap is the Protector of Gaden Shartse and Rinpoche always says if Setrap's good enough for Gaden, He is good enough for us :P those who are interested can find out more about Setrap from the Setrap Superstar series, or from Rinpoche's website (tsemtulkuDOTcom).

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche looks very at home in the monastic environment, surrounded by the other monks who showed a lot of joy from his return. All his students are extremely fortunate that they have the merits to study with such an esteemed Lama because he was offered a high throne to sit on and also a pandit's hat!

  • Ganden Monastery in Tibet was prophesized by Buddha Shakyamuni, and that one of Buddha's disciple buried a conch shell to where Ganden Monastery was to be built . And when it came to Lama Tsongkhapa's time , he used his clairvoyance to locate the conch shell and proceeded to build the monastery on top of it.

  • Oh I heard this story before when reading about Lama Tsongkhapa. Then again, why in modern day we don't see all this kind of magic or super natural showings by highly attained lamas?

  • The current Gaden Monastery was set up in 1969 in Mundgod, South India. From scratch up till todays grandeur, I am sure many Sangha members have sacrified and put in a lot of effort to get the monastery up and running. Very inspiring that these masters escaped from Tibet to a totally foreign country with nothing, and still able to restore the tradition.

  • The pilgrims who have gone to Gaden with Tsem Tulku Rinpoche must have very good merits to be able to perform acts of offerings and also to be there to experience a day in the live of a Gaden Sangha. I rejoice for their act of kindness and may I too be able to do that in the near future.

  • It is sad to hear that when Gaden Monastery first started, the monks, including many great masters, had to spend their time to physically build the monastery from scratch, by cutting through the bushes/ trees, building the building themselves etc. I am very glad to see that the monks now can concentrate on learning and practising Buddhism instead of that.

  • I am very inspired and I want to support the monks so they can carry on practising and teaching the Dharma. Without these monks, the Dharma will not be preserve for the next generation and the teachers that show us the path to enlightenment will be lost.

  • What a nice way to connect to ones mother monastery- by making huge offerings to the Sangha of the mother monastery. I think most of the pilgrims have never been to a Tibetan Monastery before and this must be a very great experience for them, to see where their Gurus root is and to witness how hard the Sangha of Gaden work to promote and preserve the holy Buddhist tradition.

  • Gaden Monasterys prayer hall is so grand. One cant Gaden Monasterys prayer hall is so grand. One cant help but notice how strong the positive energy is with the chanting and all. help but notice how strong the positive energy is with the chanting and all.

  • It is inspiring to see so many Sangha members. I think this is the first time in my life that I see so many Sangha members. They sacrifice their own pursuits and selfish goals in life in order to benefit others through learning, practising and teaching the Dharma.

  • Thank you Kechara Media & Publications for producing such a wonderful documentary. I really love this video as it is informative, and it is also very simple to understand, yet comprehensive.

  • I learnt from the video that making a khata offering is an expression of offering up of our wishes and aspirations . What a beautiful way to make a wish, sure beats throwing coins into a well!

  • We can witness how generous Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is, because Rinpoche doesnt only make offerings to his own khangtsen or college, but Rinpoche made offerings to the whole Gaden Monastery of 3000 monks!

  • 3000 Manjushri statues, monk robes, re-tiling, painting the gold face of the statues, making clothes for the statues etc. Theres so much behind the scene work that we dont really see.

  • Kechara Media & Publications really made us proud. They have worked hard to get this revised edition of Gurus for Hire Enlightenment for Sale out and have gone to great lengths to promote this book so that this beneficial information, especially those related to Guru-Disciple relationship can be shared with many.

  • Gurus for Hire Enlightenment for Sale is a great manual for those who wish to go on this path of Guru Disciple relationship and this book was in the London Book Fair in UK. Great job Kechara Media and Publications!

  • I think this book is a classic and should be listed as a must have at all Dharma centres, for those who would like to engage or take on a Guru. This is like the dos & donts and a beginners guide to a Guru-Disciple Relationship. It really is!

  • Yes, I especially like his book Gurus for Hire Enlightenment for Sale that explained why is it bad to centre-hop and what are the criteria to shop for a Guru and what to do after that. Its a great relief to me as I was searching for the answers to these questions but I didnt know subjects like these were addressed in a book!

  • I like Tsem Tulku Rinpoche because he is really a good model/ example of a liberal Buddhist master who doesn't intend to convert people from another religion and discourages students from another Dharma center to join him, although he does willingly share Dharma with them.

  • It is great to visit the very monastic university that was founded by Je Rinpoche Lord Tsongkhapa. To live and breathe among those who are the lineage holder of this great Buddhist tradition of study, debate and Dharma practice.

  • I like the Tibetan Monasteries. This video reminded me of those beautiful monasteries in Tibet. I hope I have the chance to visit Gaden Monastery.

  • Tsem Rinpoche made a huge offering/contribution back to the mother monastery of Gaden Monastery , and this was not the first or last time. Tsem Rinpoche is really a dedicated student of Gaden Shartse Monastery.

  • It is wonderful to learn that every single monks in the Gaden Monastery were actually offered statues and robes. According to video, this is the first time ever to happen in this great monastery.

  • i hope Tsem Kacho Ling will manifest quicker without obstacles and may all good condition arises to help speed up the building of the great retreat land in the land of Malaysia!

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche has always been very generous in offering. Rinpoche even sponsored big statues to other centers too. Rinpoche is really a living Bodhisattva!

  • it is so nice to see the young monks got their statues, which is quite rare because most of them could not afford one.

it is a blessing for the monks to receive it and also the sponsor who offered it to the young Sangha.

  • i agree so much with the narrator of this video that we should practise non-attachment now because of everything is impermanent! we will bound to lose someone someday in our lives and it's very logical to start train ourselves to be non-attached.

  • the members of Kechara House under the guidance of HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche must have done so much to benefit the Monastery to earn this 'honoured guests' status. hehe.

  • Kechara House has been a constant sponsor of Gaden Monastery. most of the money generated from the outlets in KL would be remitted back to the monastery to help support them. Rinpoche never forget where He came from!

  • Bossanova, you can actually visit our website at kecharahouse(dot)com to get more information. As we have a special departments who helps to organize all the pilgrimage trip.......this department is called Kechara Discovery....you may get the email address from the website and send a email request for updates.........

  • Rinpoche is so kind to bring the students around Gaden Monastery, show them every corner, and explained to them about what is it regards about.........Rinpoche really a good tourist guide of Gaden Monastery...................

  • Im totally envy all of them to be able to visit Gaden Monastery, make offerings and doing prayers together with the monks, i wish to get an update about next Gaden trip, anyone can give me the information????

  • you can just sign up with Kechara Discovery or just sign up yourself with the Administrator for your weekly updated newsletter for all the feeds and future pilgrimages right to your email account!

  • i am also very envy with the members of Kechara House who got the chance to go to such a holy place of Gaden Monastery!

i wish i could join them earlier, i would be able to go!

  • A group photo with all the Holy monks in Gaden, the Abbot, HH Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, and etc etc.......KH members are so fortunate to have a closer touch with the holy monks.............

  • it is extremely rare that High Lamas take photos with so many people together and more over they are willing to take some of their precious times off to 'entertain' KH members really make the members their honoured guests!

  • Im very happy and rejoice to see the lay people make offerings to 3 jewels, as this will help them to understand more in dharma, and commit themselves to do more in dharma, help out each others and care for others, this will really help us to cure away our self-cherishing mind......Kechara House really a innovative Buddhist society, will definitely pay a visit when Im visit KL....

  • I can see from this video, every monk is happy to receive the Manjushri statues, monk robes and money, as some of them might not have the statues, now they get it, they can do more prayers and get the wisdom blessing from lord Manjushri to understand Dharma and spread Buddha teachings.......

  • Ohhh.....I do saw the members also offered money to the monks, is good to offered something like statues, robes and money which the monks need, as they sacrificed their life to become a monk and give us blessing and continue to spread the dharma to everyone.

  • Hahaha, pasquale2k, besides incense offerings, they also offer the Manjushri Statues and the the monk robes to all the Gaden monks, think about it, 3000 statues and 3000 monk robes, KH members really collect lotsa merits from here, is all through the kindness and blessings from Rinpoche that they able to do it in this meritorious event........

  • Wow, the KH members are offering the incense to all the monks in Lama Chopa Puja, so auspicious. How i wish i can be part of the team to do that, offerings to three jewels......

  • Gaden Monastery India is the extension of Tibet. Tibet Gaden Monastery was built 600 years ago by the Lama Tsongkhapa to continue to spread the teachings and Gelugpa lineage. And we are so lucky that the lineage is still around us today, and allowing us to practice it........

  • Im amazed to see the Head of Gaden Shartse Education Department make offerings to Rinpoche. This shows that, all the monks in Gaden including the Abbot, Rinpoche Gurus are very happy for what Rinpoche has done in Malaysia spreading the dharma and also to Gaden..........

  • Gosh... offering incense has so many meanings! All this while I've doing it like a robot without knowing why I do it; just follow... hehe... thanks! Now I know that... "Burning of incense symbolised burning of attachment... It does not mean that we should not enjoy ourselves but that we should not be obsessed by our desires... we will not suffer when we don't have the things we want..."

  • hey, i didn't know that either... :P

this is so meaningful, thank you for enlightening me about the burning of incense. if not i will never know about this and became just like a robot! haha

  • I don't think I can be a monk yet, so doing Dharma work would be ideal for me. I really like what H E Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is doing for his lay students in Kechara House. Check out kecharahouse(dot)com

  • Hehe... yep for those still can't take the ordained vows (253 rules??), doing dharma works as lay person is another option. The Liaisons of Tsem Rinpoche have the heavy roles of carry out Rinpoche's instructions as well keeping one's own conduct too. Actually, their tasks should be very challenging because they still live among naive lay people; those ego ones like me especially... haha...

  • actually this is another Rinpoche's skillful means to create opportunity to have lay people getting involved in Dharma fulltime. people who are working for Dharma now should be very grateful!

  • What a beautiful video as it gives it has wonderful footage of what's it like to be in the middle of a huge Gelugpa monastery.

  • How powerful to offer incense and robes to the Sangha as both are powerful symbolism towards holding our samaya to our Lama, vows and words of honor. Holding commitments and vows is the root of all attainments and the foundation of all Tantric practice.

  • yeah, i think the highest practise is just in front of us. which is to hold our samaya clean with the Guru. by not breaking our commitments or vows given by our Guru is the key and foundation to the Tantric practice.

  • i agree to what you are saying also chickensoupbowl, we can't go far if we can't keep even the basis of the vows unbroken.

  • Wow! Gaden Monastery with her 3000 monks is a 600 year old monastic institution! We hope it continues way into the future preserving the Sutra and Tantra teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa.

  • i heard Gaden Monastery is a very well known Dharma school for monks throughout the world and the history runs back into 600 years old! Amazing!

  • Yes Gaden Monastery in India currently after Lamas and Monks fled their homeland in Tibet for the sake of Dharma during the 50s and with that, they fled to India where they have a community of Tibet in the land of India and built it over again.

  • May all conducive conditions arise and all obstacles be pacified in order to increase infinitely the doctrine of the spiritual king Tsongkhapa. And the monks reciting this as they leave the prayer hall symbolizes the spread of Lama Tsongkhapas teachings far and wide.

  • I like to watch holy masters when they greet each other they touch their heads.

  • Monks hold 253 vows if we dont respect that what can we respect?

  • Wow! 253 vows is a lot of vows to upkeep. No wonder we hold them as refuge. Therefore, we have no right to judge any monk, Lama or Rinpoche.

  • holding our refuge vows is the basis of all the other vows we are going to hold in future! hence we should hold it clean without breaking it

  • the picture they took right at the end of the Lama Chopa is simply stunning to see so many holy and great masters in one frame.

  • Its joyful to see Kechara people offer young and poor monks manjushri statues , as without their offering the monks would have to struggle quite a bit due to lack of resources to obtain a manjushri statue . So beneficial the work done by the Kechara peeps. They have given the young monks a fast track path.

  • Like in all societies which have Buddhist consciousness ingrained in them , they feel its an honpour for their children to become a monk and they realize the benefits of offering their children to be monks, the thais and tibetans share the same ideals. Unlike Chinese people :P

  • KH people have so much merit to be in a midst of a puja done by 3000+ monks imagine that?

  • I heard before someones daughter was having high fever and the fever just kept going. So this person requested for monks to chant medicine Buddha puja for her daughter , and the moment the puja started in India , the fever started to reside .

  • its due to the power of the monks altruistic mind thats why their puja have so much power and is so effective.

  • chanting of mantras , as mantra are the protection of ones mind against negative influences . I always chant mantras before I do any dharma study or meditations or contemplations . It helps a lot especially early in the morning when one is rushing off to work. It helps to keep focus.

  • I believe robes actually represent vows : )

  • Offering robes to monks is an ancient tradition from the times of the Buddha. It is very meritorious.

  • I read somewhere if one is disturbed by spirits by putting monk robes on ourselves it will stop the harm from spirits.

  • I wish I can have the opportunity to be part of a Lama Chopa ceremony to get much merits !

  • Moodyperiod , Lama Chopa is very beneficial , it touches upon so many dharma subjects seven limbs, Lam Rim, guru devotion , offerings, purification and etc.

  • I think many people have a wrong conception about non attachment . Non attachment does not mean you cant have any thing it means that because you know the nature of the things we like ( impermanent ) we do not attach to it .

As the suffering we endure is not due to we not being able to get the objects or attachment or losing those objects but it is due to our strong attachment .

  • Not all incense are made equal , I like those natural ones made from Nepal , whereby the ingredients and formulas are based on texts from great spiritual masters . I cant stand incense made with loads of chemicals I think my life gets shorter with every inhalation.

  • Incense represents morality and ethics , I guess the fragrance emitted by the incense breaks the atmosphere of the current situation which helps us to focus on the prayers or meditations ahead.

  • Kechara is doing a lot of great things despite having only one center in Kuala Lumpur, its not the number of members its the quality of the members to put it in a cliché way.

  • it looks like the Kechara pilgrims really went all out to give offerings to the holy monks and all offered up individually. What great effort.

  • how lucky they are to be able to set foot on Gaden Monastery and explained in this video that it is a very rare occasion that High Lamas or Abbot to have photo session with lay people.

  • assiahproject: more than 1 week??? uh oh! i will have to take unpaid leave then... cos i am planning to stay longer anyways... hehe see you all there! i just can't wait, i just can't wait...!

  • I am very proud of being a member of Kechara House. The center and everything is just so nice and organized. We have Tsem Tulku Rinpoche as our Lama and spiritual teacher. I just love it!

  • Basically it is also because there are large statues in the building which purified the place and members who chanted there everyday making the energy there simply very soothing.

  • This also explained to us that why I felt something different each time I went to Kechara House or any other outlets in KL. I just feel very different and the energy is so nice making you feel like home.

  • And the book had mentioned about Tsem Rinpoches name in Malaysia as a place to invite Wealth Vases which is just a proof that Kechara Paradise is a hub for Wealth Vases.

  • Apparently the book mentioned there are 2 types of Vases which is Earth and Wealth Treasures. These vases actually have the energy to attract positive energy and will bless the area 21km radius which is magnificent!

  • According to the book I have read recently about the treasures of Tibet, they have mentioned something about Wealth Vases which attracts energy from all directions and make the area peaceful.

  • allforbuddha, thanks for your info on the Wealth Vase... WOW... it will attract positive energy all direction? And it will bless the area within 21km radius? It is really magnificent then... oh I must get one myself... mmm.. I wonder... will it break during transport to overseas?

  • of course you need to handle it with care, the people in the outlets will be able to take of this, all you need to do now is to think where you want to place this treasure in your home!

  • what I have noticed that in the almost 2 years that the new center was there, it has attracted a lot of positive energy till even it is hard to find parking if I am going to that place. Shops occupied have grown tremendously eversince. I believe it is the wealth vases.

  • Hey, yeah I never thought of that. I have recently visited Kechara House and they have a lot of wealth vases there in the center which is so beautifully arranged and plus a large Dzamabala statue in the chapel. It is so nice and people around the area can actually see it from outside.

  • People living around the area will be pleased, not only that, imagine there will be a lot of Weath Vases being placed in the area. It will bless the whole area and will make the deities there please too because of the energy being absorbed to the places.

  • wow, thank you so much for this valuable information which is so informative! very interesting and logic because everything will be purified through the area. just fantastic!

  • People like me in Johor Baru will be benefitted by the presence of TKL because I can travel to Genting foothills frequently and meditate there which will be like a holiday for me.

  • you guys are just so lucky! i am living in China and i will be very happy if i can invite one home! but i do not know how can i bring that wealth vase home without being checked through the custom...???

  • yangming10: you can always depend on the kechara(dot)com to send go through all the hassle for you. we can send to you when you're back in China. you can even choose which vase you want when you're here for this Wesak celebration.

  • Once the Retreat Land is built then it will be one of the main attraction from all over the world. Imagine the Buddhist community of the world will be focusing on TKL and Malaysia then.

  • Yes justinryo, Let us pray hard in order to have the Tsem Kacho Ling Retreat Center to manifest. We should do more Serkym or Golden Tea to offer to Lord Setrap to make TKL manifest with less obstacles.

  • They are all happy because many of them cannot afford to have a statue and robes. They have to look for sponsors to get one which is no easy to get. Donating in this way is very meritorious for me.

  • Look at the monk expression, they are so happy to received the offerings from the members, and the members are so fortunate be able to take group photo with all the High Lama in Gaden Monastery.....GREAT,....

  • Let us just pray hard to make Tsem Kacho Ling to manifest quickly in order to bring more benefits to all sentient beings and Lama Tsongkhapas teachings to manifest far and wide!

  • Yeah, Rinpoche will be able to subdue them even if they have messed things up there. Compassionately.

  • I dont think they will make any hassle there since Tsem Rinpoche is there and you guys are actually doing some pujas and making offerings as a peace making effort that you guys are taking over the land for TKL.

  • I think you would probably get nervous and overwhelmed by the presence of local deities there! Ha!
