I actually had no trouble with this boss battle when I decided to try it for real. 2 ronins with elementals, a landsknekt with the chaser skills to 2+, a medic, and a survivalist with poison shot at 5, no real trouble at level 19.

The real problem was poisoning the damn thing. Eventually one of my ronins died of attrition when i finally managed to poison the damn thing. I'd have to keep retrying because it's just so hard to poison.

The 30k from that wing was worth it, though.

@GherkiKnight uhh, the grind for the force to actually perform eschaton would negate any good effects of doing so. and plus you just wasted an eschaton and now you have slaveimps to kill.

@Chaoktarukto Eschaton at the very beginning of battle. Kills Chimaera in one go, and then you can run from the slaveimps before they get you. It works for me, anyway.

Eventually, I just put a level in my Dark Hunter's Racket, lured the Slaveimps over, and just decimated them before fighting it.

I just saved the Sleep Bell the Minister gave me and used it right before I fought the Chimera. I was able to beat him before the Slaveimps could get close.

I used the dancer class's lure skill to lure the imps to my position and beat them up, made chimera a lot easier for me ^.^.

I used this same tactic, but i lured imp's with my dark hunter's racket skill - then i killed them one by one, and chimera without buffs and healing support was easier.

There is not a second of this track that I don't like, its epic as hell. And the retro-genesis-bass sounds make it even moreso.

Chimaera, what a pain. I resorted to training right before him so I could get my Dark Hunter's Force Skill to make the battle quite a bit easier. The Slaveimps still made the battle rediulous.

damned chimaera. you only have to grind three levels

on the four or so floor below.but then you reach chimaera, with 1,400 hp, huge ass strength, and a platoon of slaveimps who heal, damage, AND raise his attack.

and we complain about things like"veteran mode" on COD? oh please.he's the first boss, too!!!!!

Chimera was a pain, but even he wasn't a match for the beast that was Colossus. Oy.

Later in the game it will be very funny when you will be able to kill him with a single blow and think "and I had problems with this?". But yeah, the start of the game is probably the hardest part, very little skills available at the time and such.

Yeah, right. But i have managed to reach 4th Stratum in 1 month ,because of bosses

(Scylla - great pain) and FOE's , due to these Razekings and Killclaws, which joined into combat at least expected moment (however i managed to defeat normal monsters and Killclaw).
