CAN YOU TALK ABOUT THE NEUTROGEN MICRODERMIBRATION SYSTEM PLEASE.I HAVE BEEN HEARING A LOT ABOUT IT LATELY.THANK YOU.BTW ALWAYS LOOK AT UR VIDS..ALWAYS HELPFUL :)
Has anyone had an allergic reaction after first time use? I used my Philosophy Purity cleanser that I always use to cleanse my face. But immediately after using the Clarisonic Mia, my face was covered in the tiniest bumps that resembled goose bumps. And my whole face was itchy. I don't think it was a purge, as these were not acne like bumps. I have never had an allergic reaction on my face, and I've tried every beauty cream/cleanser out there. Could I be allergic to the brush bristles?
After viewing this video and reading all of the comments, I disagree with this Dr's commentary on this product. It is AMAZING! It does exfoliate, especially when used twice per day. It does make your skin smoother and balancing skin tone. It's worth the money with ALL we pay on gimmicks and the like. I think some dermatologist's aren't fond of it because they didn't some up with the idea to profit from. If this guy had any stock or investment involved with Clarisonic he would not be on here!
I have a feeling the Dr is not that impressed with this device?? Anyway, moving in... Dr. Can you give us your thoughts on skincare companies please? Like Origins fir instance? I'm thinking of purchasing some items from them. Once my current skincare run out. Which looks to be the end of this month
So, do I still use a scrub after this? Or on the day I use a scrub, should I not use this? Because when I first started using this, it somewhat dried out my skin. Now that my skin has gotten use to this, it doesnt dry out my skin anymore, but I have also stopped using all my scrubs because I was afraid it would over exfoliate my skin and dry it out again, which in turn makes me produce more oil to combat the dryness, thus turning into acne. So, what would you recommend me to do doc? thanks :D
can you make a video about koores natural products? I'm really wondering if natural skin care is really much better for you then non natural products :D
@ebaNelvaNme look at the SkinSonic from a company called Sirius. I got it for about $50. I did a lot of online research and it's the most comparable electronic skin brush to the Clarisonic. With that said, I'm actually returning mine b/c I've used it for a good month, and have developed the worst skin I've ever had :( use at your own risk :)
i JUST BOUGHT THE CLAIRASONIC MIA WICH IS THE NEWER AND CHEAPER VERSION 150 INSTEAD OF 2-3PLUS... AND I LOVE IT... IT HAS MADE MY SKIN SOFTER AND TRULY CLEARING UP INCLUDING SOME SCARS.... I HOENSTLY DONT KNOW HOW OR WHY BUT THANK GOD! ALSO SO FAR... ITS BEEN LIKE 1-2 WEEKS I HAVENT GOTTEN ANY MORE OF THE CYSTIC ACNE.. CAN YOU RECCOMEND AN ACNE SCAR PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS THAT IS OVER THE COUNTER?
I have been thinking of investing in a clarasonic and I was so happy to see you had done a video on it. Thank you for answering some of my questions and clarify if this product was right for me and my skin. Thanks love your videos
I can't afford the clarisonic so there is a similar product from sallys beauty called the iskin that someone recommended and I have to say it's done wonders for my skin!!!! And the iskin is only $29!!!! So yes the brush cleaners are worth it!!!
@fuertherbube - I have used them all, and I have never experienced a clean like this. This product is fabulous and I know this because one time after I used the Clairsonic, I ran an alcohol pad across my face and it came up white - no dirt, no makeup, nothing at all. Seriously, an excellent product worth the money. Mine was a gift from my sister.
I guess you can't compare a simple alcohol pad to Clairsonic. I'm not a dermatologist, but as far as I know, alcohol isn't intended to be used as an exfoliation. But I might be wrong.
@fuertherbube -I didn't say that the alcohol was used as an exfoliant. I used the alcohol pad to test how much dirt and/or makeup was left behind after cleansing with the Clairsonic. I swept an alcohol pad across my face to see how much dirt/debris was left behind and there wasn't any at all. Generally, after traditional cleansing methods, the alcohol pad always shows something, but not in this case.
@fuertherbube That's exactly what I do. I bought another mechanical tooth brush that's super weak and super soft... Works amazing as long as you don't over scrub!
@fuertherbube i have the clarisonic and honestly. no one needs to spend the money on it. i actually kind of regret it because I saw little face brushes at sally's for 99 cents and they do the same thing!!!
@courtneytherunner13 The little face brushes don't oscillate at 300 movements per second. I've tried those little face brushes and they're better than nothing but it doesn't compare to this device.
@nikkilp07 I was just saying if people can't afford the Clarisonic then the little face brushes are a good alternative. I'm glad I have it but people could just use the brushes. It's my opinion.
Well the main reason I want to get it is because it gets your skin so clean it helps with the absorbtion of other cleaning products. I currently use a sulphuric wash for my skin I could use with it, and with the clarisonic i plan to help that clean and remove my pores of the dirt and then my acne treatment medicine my dermatologist prescribed to work more effectively and faster.
i just got the clarisonic pro last week and have used it once a day, every day since. it seems that it has made my skin a little worse (a new cyst on my chin and 2 cysts/pustules on my forehead). i'm using it on speed to (normal) with a sensitive brush and gentle cetaphil (tho the cetaphil doesn't make my face feel cleam) and i apply differin .1% on my nose chin, and forehead.
what do you recomend. is that normal? should i lower the speed and use regular cetaphil or purpose?
@MsBinkies: It is most unusual to get cysts from gentle cleansing. It would make sense to stop using the Clarisonic. If no new cysts come, then avoid the Clarisonic. If new cysts continue, see a dermatologist.
@MsBinkies I think it's a really, really bad idea to use it every day. There is a video by kathyspears on over exfoliation and it made a lot of sense so definitely watch that. Try the clarisonic just once..max twice a week and that might work better :)
@svsm06 that's a common misconception of the clarisonic; it is not an exfoliater. it even addresses that on it's website. i found that after continued use, it was worse for a couple weeks and cleared up to better than it had been in a very long time. it was like using new acne medication... when you begin a new treatment, it gets worse before it gets better. it was bringing all the crap out of my pores. i still get cysts regularly but that's my insides and wasn't attributed to my clarisonic.
I had bought this clairsonic brush at the beauty expo for 60 dollars---it came with the 3 additional brushes -- I could not believe it when I saw it on HSN they wanted 195.00 dollars for it.
eh, i actually think this does help exfoliate, i mean if you really use it two times everyday it does make roughish skin smoother...which seems a lot like exfoliation to me
@888lola: The manufacturer does not claim that it's an exfoliator. It's just a cleanser, but since there are brushes you might get ever so slight physical exfoliation, but not as effective as if you used a chemical exfoliator like glycolic or salicylic acid or a physical exfoliator like microdermabrasion.

I agree. It doesn't exfoliate as well as other methods and is rightfully not marketed as an exfoliator, but it does soften the skin.
