Hum, i thought this was boring, not sure if she was trying to sound like Astrid or what style exactly, but singing is more then just sustained speech, and this seemed too talky and too flat for me.

I love this song.. This song reminds me of my first date with my girlfriend.. Diana Krall has this style of making you feel good with a fabulous rhythm and voice.. Her voice is absolutely relaxing and fabulous.. At least for me.. She is simply fabulous and I love her.. I was at her concert in Romania, in Bucharest, and the concert was excellent and extremely beautiful.. She is really my favorite jazz singer..

Good version of this classic by a singer who's still growing. Sinatra did the definitive take on this song with Capitol in 50s, and that's hard to top. But good for Diana for taking it on. And kudos to Buble -- he gets it, he's trying hard, and those of us who love the Great American Songbook can be glad that he's devoting his talent to keeping this material fresh!

To some extent, I agree with the comment. The current generation of standard-song singers like Michael Buble and Diana Krall are blessed with better recording and arrangement; however, deep feelings for these beautifully written music is sometimes lack of.

Thanks for your reply, terubotsu.. I generally am a big fan of Diana & have several of her offerings favorited - just didn't like this one. Buble is another matter altogether - just can't see what he brings to the table

I agree. But sophistication & the right enviroment is sutiable for this great music. Most of maynot want to go to expensive evening gown, tux wearnig, snop types atmosphere. But when it's time for classy, you got to go where it is. And this music is approiate for that type of atmosphere.

Ogermann;s 'color palette' is perfect....EVERYTIME. This has got to be my favorite version ever of "Where or When". I loved this song the first time I heard it by the great Al Hibbler. Diana Krall 'nails' it with her gorgeous voice along with Ogermann's impeccable arrangements. WOW!!

This is gorgeous as was "Quiet Nights".

I'll repeat, on this CD she's miked differently, with mellower, more intimate

sounds happening. I just heard on KGIL 1260 am Beverly Hills: "I've Grown Accustomed To His Face" also from this

sexy CD. I could hear an all around

intimacy happening. This is the smoothest, and most romantic Diana ever
