  • 4 viewers are in the Air Force.

  • Marine: Muscles Are Required. Intelligence Not Essential.

  • We're the pride of South Australia...

All I could think at the start of the video.

  • I've got a buddy who's in the Corps now he said he was born in the wrong era 'cause he hears old time combat vets that say in my day if it moved you shot it now you've gotta apologize for unloading your magazine&that's Bulls#$@! His words not mine

  • @beamerball666 good point

  • he's right. we go everywhere

  • How little anything changes. To the shores of Tripoli....

  • I just got an F in my maths classes (thanks to New Math ;o) !! ... ... SEND THE MARINES! I'M IN DOUBT!

  • @mabarry3 Oh no... Don't tell me you were tempted to do base 8 as well...

  • @GaleStream Nah, I just decided to combine binary and base 8... base 2 + base 8 = 10, so I'm only working in base 10 now, and all I needed to do was combine 2 and 8 (binary and base 8). *sigh*

  • @mabarry3 But Binary are in 8-digits... Combining those can unbalance the proportions of the world... :(

  • @GaleStream And don't forget ruin all of the computers, as they use binary to computer stuff.

  • The fact that Tom's songs are still about all the same problems are what made Tom retire after only a few active years relatively. Between being funny, the truth behind the songs is SO draining/depressing that he became a math professor instead.

  • @uunpuppy And now he can make "oh, $3000 a year just teaching!" (Lobachevsky)

  • @uunpuppy You're probably right--He was funny in '65 and '66 and then the body bags started coming home...

  • We only want the world to know that we support the status quo.

    Niiice

  • @bradenmcpherson What's the form of offense/defense for Australia with no marines?

  • @mabarry3 The Aussies actually have a fairly respectable armed force for a country of 20 million people. And they're building a couple of light carriers with amphibious assault capability as well.

But the first line of defence for any modern industrial state is to avoid making enemies unnecessarily. Nobody wins modern shooting wars between serious industrial powers - the best you can do is make the other guy lose worse than you do. Been that way ever since the Gatling gun.

  • Glad to see US foreign policy is still the same

  • I can't believe this was made in the 60s/70s and STILL is so relevant.

  • "To err is human. To forgive is divine. Neither is Marine Corps policy."

"Marine Corps: When it absolutely, positively, MUST be destroyed the next day."

  • @FestusOmega : Funny, yet true.

  • Wow, if only we'd learned his lesson in the '60s.

We'd rather kill them off by peaceful means. (sigh)

  • how relevent this song still is...

  • australia doesn't have marines? - well you learn something new every day =D

cheers for the video! from cold, cold england
