That was amazin' ,Dawg!!!! Everything I heard play was potential hit music. I can say you inspired me to try to get one of these gadgets. Keep up the good work.
It's really a creative controller, probably something Suzuki didn't anticipate in the age of Laptops. Now it's so easy to control an entire song, with improvisation all right there!
Amazing, really creative! I just bought one Q-chord allthough i prefer the desing of the ommnichord.. Have you tried the Q-chord? i think is more or less the same right?
Yeah, the Q-chord is more or less the same, but it does not have that sweet analog sound that the omnichords have (which you hear on the first minutes of this video). Q-chord have all digital samples. But of course controlling vst and music programs over midi is the same on the q-chord.. Either way, they're both great songwriting tools!
Yeah, definitely, i was looking for a omnichord and will try to get one anyway. One question, the chords are in a different midi channel than the tactile arp right? that´s beautiful, im gonna use it more like a midi controller actually, so this is very useful, do you think the q-chord uses separated channels for chords/arp as omnichord? thanks mate, really apreciate your answer!
Yes, I believe the q-chord sends more midi data than the omnichord. In addition to the separate midi channels for chord, bass and strum, the q-chord also sends drums and various additions to the chords. It also has pitchbend.
very good...the perfect combination to make spacy sound. Does Ableton live have a kind of "style section" like a keyboard, that converts incoming chords to a style with baseline and drumloop?
No, the omnichord sends note data on midi channel 1,2 & 3 (strum plate, bass note & chord), so I just assigned the respective channels in ableton to different VST's, arpeggio's, effects etc.. It does not send sync / rhythm data, so the drumloops, arpeggios and tempo are controlled by ableton, I'm just playing along.
Yes, the omnichord has a very 'eerie' sound when put through some fx. It's also a great songwriting tool. I love it!
I agree in what you sayed about the Omnichord. Your video inspired me to connect my OM-300 to my Korg MicroX. It was great fun but the combination with ableton live, the way you did it leads to better results I must say. Thank you for your answers.
The OM-200m and OM-250m also has midi out. Or if your handy with electronics you can retrofit a midiport to the OM-100, it has the same circuit board as the OM-200m minus the midi port.
Wow! I thought you would have to circuit bend to get these sounds! Applause!!

What model are you using here? I want to get an omnichord but want to be sure it has MIDI out...!
