  • Oh God I had not noticed the eye! That is new age revived egyptian paganism! I thought DJ had more sense than that. Guess they've paid him off or he is a pagan freemason. I actually thought most of his sermons are doctrinally sound. Just goes to show how deep the mystery of iniquity has infiltrated the church!!!

  • I read through most of the comments and didn't see any that mentioned the names of the authors of this fabulous song. Stuart Townend, a prolific songwriter from the UK, co-wrote it along with Keith Getty. Stuart and Keith also co-wrote "In Christ Alone", a song that is one of the top 25 songs on CCLI.

  • Glory to the Risen Lamb of God! Hallelujah!!

  • The Lord has truly given these beautiful young people an awesome message to proclaim to His church! Bless you!

  • See the Aimed At America 1 video and discover how the cross is a sign of the times. There are too many parallels for this to be a coincidence.

  • I have heard this before and loved it once again. Does anyone know in what church this was recorded? We are looking to build soon and I like the platform set up.

  • I'm an atheist and I just liked this video.

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda Wow, really. See there is a God. Well, I already knew that. I thought I about fell out of my chair when I read this. Since it's your usual mushy watered down contemporary christian song, but a theological written song. So any questions by the way you have?

  • @Shoots1978

Your skeptical tone and your assertion that there is a God isn't fair nor true. I can still appreciate the power of music just the same as you. I have questions - Why do you believe in God? If this spirals into a full debate then I think we should move it to inbox.

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda Sorry if it sounded a mean tone. I was shocked, not usually I hear an Athiest that likes this type of theological music. How do I answer that question? God who is an immaterial Spirit, reveals Himself through His Word, (Hebrews 1) And His Word is His Son which became flesh and at the baptism the Spirit came upon Him. One best way was through His law, which is His very nature, (character). Do you have Skype?

  • @Shoots1978 No, i don't. I'll keep this short - where are you getting all that information from?

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda Oh ok. I only attended to try and be funny, cause I never thought in a million years, (like that has happened) lol. That it was possible. I guess since you can't see me and it's hard to almost tell me by what I write, I should have wrote, smiley faces so know what I was doing. So I just thought it was interesting.

  • I think we have no right to judge anyone else's worship experience. We are not called to judge or be opinionated, only God has the right to judge. We all have very different experiences....and that's ok.

  • While stating "Raising your hands IS NOT A BIBLICALLY (Crctd sp.) REQUESTED EXPRESSION" only magnifies one's ignorance of God's word (1 Tim 2:8 as stated below), I wonder if any notice the Eye of Horus in the baptistry at 3:17? I believe request had been made to Shadow Mountain about this, yet no reply, at least as far as I am aware...

  • @Wunji1 also at 4:30...

  • Raising your hands IS NOT A BIBLICLY REQUESTED EXPRESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just found this song. So glad I did. I love how Kristyn has such a natural looking smile as she sings. Maybe she tries it, maybe not, but it sure does lift up my soul & leads me to worship. Thank you both!! Your efforts are leading to Christ!

  • Oh how it causes you to raise your hearts to Heaven and touch Him in praise & adoration...ALL Thanx 2 you Jesus...All thanx to you Precious, Precious Father....

  • Modern Contemporary Hymn-Who ever thought one song could be all three?

  • Praise God

  • Great singing my sister. The Holy Ghost was moved in me listening to you and that don't happen when i listen to everybody. God bless you and your family real good.

  • Deus Abençoe seu ministério...

  • what a voice, so peaceful, she just makes you feel good

  • Such a Powerful song, such Truth, that touches the heart of those who sing or hear. This the Pow'r of the Coss Christ became Sin for me for you. Born of the Spirit washed in theBlood of the Lamb. Jesus precious Jesus. The Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the World. Oh How He loves you

  • Love this song and has been on my heart for the past two days! I just keep playing over and over! Beautiful lyrics!

  • My music "likes" has changed during the past years and If I was there while they taped this and hear everyone singing, there would not be enough water my eyes would tear(just as this morning), and as the woman at 3:43, I would be singing this very loud. This is a strong emotional powerful song, too me.

  • google Doe's Account, mindblowing.

  • wow, thank you jesus for the cross. Great song :)

  • @dannett007 It is very pleasing to the responses of other Christians, but "Jesus" should be capitalized.

  • @TheSylviaElena THANK YOU JESUS. ;D

  • WOW,,what a beautiful rendition of this song. I love the orchestra and full choir. Beautifully done folks. God Bless you all.

  • gorgeous voice!!

  • Brother, open your eyes. Did Issiah not say "Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted."? We will get punishment for NOTHING! For Christ has died for our sins. He will have mercy on even you. God bless brother!

  • "We will get punishment for NOTHING!"

    Really??

I know the COMMON SENSE is prohibited in Christianity. So Just keep your finger crossed, just in case the ultimate judge would like to punish the criminal!

  • we do get punishment for nothing. If we do our best in this life than we will be forgiven. What father wouldn't forgive his own children, besides my anti-gay grandpa. but thats another story. Christ came to save the world, he came to save the world from its sins, which have scared us and would have made us other wise burn in hell fire forever. But God forgives and forgets. He is a great LORD, and may he reign in glory forever, amen.

    God Bless Brother

    --Lastpaw

  • "What father wouldn't forgive his own children, besides my anti-gay grandpa."

You do realize that God hates sin and we cant do anything to suppress the wrath of God which is why Christ came down to die on the cross. If someone was delighting themselves on the things of God they would not be gay because they would want what God wants. A Christian can not live in that lifestyle and walk in the light as mentioned in 1John. God is light and in Him is no darkness. Realizing sin and repenting.

  • Great Hymn it has amzing lyrics

  • Love it!

  • I heard this song for the first time last Sunday at church. I asked our music leaders for the name and searched out the lyrics and found this video. I have listened to it over and over. I still cannot believe how succintly it tells the profound message of the Cross and Jesus' love for me. Praise God!

  • This is such a wonderful and honoring song to Christ. Thanks for posting this and thanks to the Getty's. Praise God for their inspiration.

  • What a beautiful song. Thanks for posting.

  • Great hymns tell the story; and this one does just that.

I pray that you will listen to the words and think about what Christ did for us. After all, this is what Resurrection Sunday is all about. Ask yourself, " What if there had been no resurrection?"; and then jot down your answers. My Sunday School class did it and discovered how privileged and blessed believer are--and it con only be because of the power of the cross.

  • I love my church Shadow Mountain in sunny San Diego. It hurts me to be so far away from it.

I thank you so much for these videos they lift my spirit.

    God Bless,

    From Germany

  • I like this video a lot.

  • I love this song! It takes me into the very presence of Jesus.

  • I'm afraid it doesn't, as good as it is. If you are a Christian, you are always and will always be in his presence, as you are 'in Christ'. No need to wait til the next time you hear this or any other song!

  • way to call it! Christ IN US!! the hope of glory. no denying this is one powerful song! It is FINISHED

  • you're totally right. But then again. This song is so great that it might make it so that people feel that they are in christ. That's great. For though faith is primary about well hmm... faith (:p), it is still also about feeling (feeling love for example). The song may help in this feeling. It might even teach us something (don't know).

Bear with me... this is my way of saying... the song is just great and it can even help in faith.

  • The first time I heard this song was at my schools annual spring concert. Powerful song!!!

  • As they sing about the Son of God hanging nailed to a cross for our sin, they adorn themselves in perfect robes, thousands of dollars spent on man's ambission. It's not quite what Jesus died to accomplish. A contradiction perhaps? That said, it is a wonderful song, on every level.

  • Christ died to claim hearts...not to celebrate poverty. He was at work in this video, whether they are wearing robes or rags. Christ's sacrifice was bigger than a call to social justice. It goes beyond this world and the things in it.

  • sorry, i wrote that not quite thinking straight. the gospel is about hearts, but also about sacrifice; such as the song is about. we dont need to be outwardly smart if the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. you're right about not celebrating poverty, but the money could have been better spent irradicating it. i say 'could' because it's only my opinion. who knows, God could have given them those robes. i shouldn't judge!

  • The disciples criticised a woman for pouring expensive oil on Jesus' feet, saying it could have been sold and spent on the poor. But Jesus defended the woman. There's a time for everything.

  • If you read my second comment, I apologise for my first comment. The disciples did indeed criticise the woman, and Jesus defended her, saying that they will "always have the poor among them" - meaning, the time to care for the poor will be once He has returned to heaven, surely? So there is indeed a time for everything

  • This version is better than the album one (and I LOVE that version). This is how this song should be sung - a chorus of voices praising God our Savior.

Thanks so much for this song about the Cross of Christ. May God bless the Getty's in their ministry.

  • Oh wow, great lyrics and song!

  • LOL Go for it Pas... Get a licence and head for San Diego, maybe she is The One... You´ll never know if you dont go find out for yourself.

  • Shame on you, Pastor! You are shopping for a bride on youtube?! Don't let the vanities of this world distract ou from worship.

  • If such a powerful song like this gets sung in our church I hope to see all my congregation raising their hands in praise to our saviour..unlike these people who seem bored by it . PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS NOT ONLY IN SONG PEOPLE BUT WITH ARMS RAISED TO HEAVEN ACKNOWLEDGING YOUR MAKER !!!

  • God looks at the heart. You cannot know that these people are not deeply moved just because they don't raise their hands. That is a cultural expression not a commanded biblical one.

  • 1 tim: 2 i think. it does say to raise holy hands in worship. but i havent checked, no bible near me but i'm pretty sure!

but i know what you mean. it doesnt mean you cant worship without doing so, a balance is always needed. x

  • 1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Here we see the Scriptural injunction instructing us as to one of many modes of worship, Church, May you be uplifted in the ways you find the Blessing of the Lord in Blessing your maker and the One Who freely and willingly Became Our SIN for us and DIED that WE Might be made Rightous! Hallelujah!

  • @billybobrae TRUE, BUT HAVE YOU TRIED IT?

  • @billybobrae I agree that you cannot tell that hese people are not deeply moved just because they don't raise their hands. But raising your hands is actually a biblically requested expression, 1 Tim 2:8.

    Blessings!

  • Good video - this is the best version of the power of the cross I've come across so far.

  • haha, thats cause the Keith Getty is one of the original composers! :)
