No. The Pc runs its data off of a hardrive and not a dvd. Harddrives run at 7200rpm and are much more powerful. Even now, PCs are more powerful than the PS3 just look at Crysis. Also, the PC will soon be running Dx11 standard which is already miles away from the PS3.

No ur the idiot here. Pc's can store data in a high Rpm harddisk. High rpm harddisks make it faster to access/find data, combined with high memory , loading times in games will be extremely fast. That is the reason why it is better than the ps3, because it doesnt have to read data from a blu-ray disc which makes loading times way longer. U can say "no it installs it in the ps3" , but i have a ps3 myself, and even games that are installed in the harddisk still read some data from the blu-ray disc

Playing the game foryourself at very high and 16xQ AA on 1080p resolution destroys, rapes and annihilates console graphics.

But of course, this can all be subjective or it could be placebo coming into play that's making me think the higher number anti aliasing looks better

All in all tho, this game maxed out + a decent dedicated card for Physx + playing on a rainy breezy night with a friend and some beer = going to Disney Land all over again. lol

3. The world is much bigger in "Assassin's Creed II" then in "Batman".

well, if youre unsure still, i do recommend the ATI 4850 (i think its 4850), that is around the same price as the 9800gt.

both are awesome value for money, but i went with the 9800 because they gave away a free copy of assassins creed in the box. that was the only reason i went with it really.

but it plays anything i want, and i have had it a while now.

either one of those cards should keep you gaming for a while, i think. and for the money, they are the best you can get, really

it sounds like a software problem rather than a faulty GPU.

other games work ok? i guess so as this seems to happen only in the same place in the game

the only thing i can suggest really is either patch the game, check your GPU drivers (some newer drivers are sometimes dodgy with older games), or try a reinstall of the game.

hey man ... i re-installed the game ... n it worked but only for like 30-40 minutes .. n it froze again ... but the thing is that when it freezes i could hear the enemy hittin me n i could also hit them back .. but i cant see them .. it happens usually when im fightin with the enemies .. its annoying .. whenever the game starts gettin a bit interesting .. the fuckin screen freezes .. n ill try to patch the game n let u know if that'll work ..

if it doesnt work, try looking on the nvidia website, to make sure your drivers are the right ones.

they make different drivers for different cards now, so it could be your drivers dont like your card or something.

hey ... i played oblivion for like 1 hour now ... n it didnt freeze ... although i didnt face much battles in this 1 hour ... but maybe the problem is solved ... but i donno wat fixed it .. i did two things ...

1. i updated the driver

2. i went to the nvidia control panel n forced aa tll 8x n turned my hdr on from the settings in the game ...

now im not sure wat fixed it ... but it works fine till now .. lol .. i think u should try this game ..its pretty good .. if u like rpg

do a few things, and it works. you could even undo those things and it would work sometimes. no logic to PC gaming at times, is there? but its worth that extra hassle.

i would go for it being the GPU drivers, myself, but it could have been anything really.

i did give it a quick try, but im not a huge fan of RPG, or sword and sorcery games.

the best RPG i played recently was by the same developers, fallout 3. and some of the DLC packs are good too

if you played far cry on pc, and was unimpressed by the trigens, the aliens in crysis will really annoy you. they are much worse than the trigens in far cry.

apart from the graphics, that game doesnt have that much to offer.

but your system should run it ok, as long as you dont go crazy on the resolution and AA settings.

i can play on high settings and 1280x1024, no problem.

play at 1024x768 if its bad

im sure it should be ok with 2 on vista, but i do know that vista is more system hungry than XP, and so games need more resources to run.

1080p is the highest resolution the xbox can produce but most games run at a lower native resolution (Halo 3 runs at 640p by the way). I don't see what the problem is though, the Xbox has a tri-core 3.2 ghz processor and 512 mb graphics chip equivalent to a Radeon HD 2000 (its supposed to be the precursor). Well who knows maybe its something I'm missing. But anyway, PC does look better and almost always will since its constantly adapting and upgrading. Just sharing a 15 year olds knowledge. =)
