Again, I MUST point out... He was referring to his voting record in Congress. Mike Gravel hsa not been a senator since 1981. He is truly an excellent candidate, and I would love to see him as Dennis Kucinich's running mate. What a powerful team!
I think you misunderstood what he said -- he's the only candidate who VOTED against the war, voted against the Patriot Act; voted against every piece of legislation to fund the war. Mike Gravel was the Senator from Alaska from Jan. 3, 1969 to Jan. 3, 1981. He was no longer in office when the votes came up. Dennis Kucinich DID NOT LIE!
Disney are part of the corporate fascism take over we're suffering under. ABC are the Worst at reporting the news. They have Stephonopolis telling people what the Clintons want them to say.
I think if internet people truly understood these candidates they would favor Kucinich well over Ron Paul. Ron Paul is against enforcing anti-trust and safety laws on corporations. He would let them get away with murder. Not Kucinich.
Dennis will be getting my vote on every ballot where his name appears, and I will definitely, without fail, be voting, unless I'm dead.
Dennis needs warm bodies and money. The green stuff. From lots of us people. Numbers of contributors is even more valuable than size of contribution. He's wisely not taking contributions from those eternal, amoral possessors of human rights known as corporations. How about dropping a little coin on Kucinich's campaign?
I just wish you'd post your opinions at your candidate's video spots, but since you have (Ron Paul supporters) than I shall do the same on your candidates video spots on behalf and in support of Dennis Kucinich, the only candidate telling you the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Ron Paul is half the loaf of bread. Dennis offers the whole loaf. Do your homework and cast your vote as though you are a thinking person.
Ron Paul suggests a tax the same for everyone...like a 20% tax on everything you purchase...the more you buy..the higher the tax...the less you buy the less your tax..sounds fair to me...no more tax hedges for the rich...if you are poor...you won't hav to pay much tax because you can't afford to purchase much...and maybe you can save instead of paying what little you make in taxes.
The best candidate for American history, in the true sense of the human conscience, i hope Dennis Kucinich is the president, as this would be a special victory for all United States and the world
Ron Paul and Kucinich are good friends. It's rare that you have two very good and strong candidates running on opposite sides. If either wins, the world wins. If they both lose.. enjoy WW3.
NWO is never a Kucinich Agenda. Ron Paul wants to rid of IRS? How do you operate any government without Tax collectors? Perhaps, Ron Paul wants to award the tax collection job to the highest bidder? Funny.
Kucinich has wonderful Healthcare, Educational and Foreign policies.
Who collected the taxes...isn't still a job of IRS. Are you saying McDonalds collected the taxes and wired the monies direct to Bush? How amusing can you be.
We will go back to the Constitution and the taxes will be collected when you purchase something....Haven't you ever paid a sales tax? This would not be something they could come and take your home...It is a simple sales tax...no IRS is needed for sales tax.
I know very little about Kucinich...Good luck with your candidate...I am sincere..I love what Ron Paul wants to do...He wants to get back to the Constitution, Get rid of the Fed reserve, IRS, and knock THE NEW WORLD ORDER in the head.....no one wants the new world order.....no chip !!!!! no police state!!!!
Google and watch the money masters and see who really runs the world. You might see that sheeple is a great name..Rep+ demos = Sheeple. Think for yourself!!!! don't be put in a box.. good luck PS I like Kucinich
look up the roll call for the Iraq War Resolution. In the House, it passed with 296 yeas versus 133 nays. in the senate, the vote was 77 to 23, in favor of the resolution to authorize the war. so, in total, 156 congressmen voted against the war. the durbin, lee, spratt, levin, and byrd amendments all failed to halt the war. kucinich in RP, however, are the only 2 presidential candidates who voted against it.
Dennis, your best speach yet. Win the democratic nomination and win the white house. North Korea has nuclear power - why aren't these nay sayers scared of them? So silly.
Are we going to sit back and let the threats of Ahmadinejad nuking Israel then what? Then you would say we should have done something sooner. We heard the same shit before and after WWII. We can fight a conventional war against Iran. We only need worry about Russia and China siding with them. Why would you talk to someone who denies the holocaust! This guys a loser and a NOBODY!
israel has anywhere between 200-400 nuclear weapons. i don't think iran would send a bomb over there that would immediately result in the destruction of its entire country. it doesn't make any sense. furthermore, check the news today: iran suspended its program in 2003. futhermore, if the problem is with israel, let israel deal with it.
Keep reading - they stopped enrichment. They still could have capabilities by 2010 or their about. The problem is IRAN, Ahmadinejad has continually threatened the destruction of Israel and if HE gets capability the WORLD will be drug into WWIII. We won't be the only ones with a nuclear bomb this time. Israel has not EVER threatened the destruction of IRAN. The Chinese and Russians are even afraid of that. Why do you think the Russians left Iran? They were building the reactor now poof - gone.
don't buy the fear this time. ahmadenijad is not the commander in chief of iran. he has little power and no foreign policy power. khomeni has issued a fatwa against nukes and his advisers have censured ahmadenijad for questioning the holocaust. iran has never invaded another country, israel has, and iran has reason to fear for its security. look at iraq. the tragedy is that WE make it almost necessary for these countries to amp up their arms for fear of unlawful invasion.
I love how you hippies throw around UNLAWFUL invasion. Stop it, you know it's not true. If the world community was so ILLEGAL why are 21 countries in the coalition? Are they all wrong or are you.
Iran for one because they know it will be mutual distruction. Iranian Islamofacists just crazy enough to beleive that dying is better than living. A common beleif in that culture you know. Look at all of the suicide bombers.
your comments are racist. suicide bombing is not a "common belief" in the culture of iran, which, i might add, is a beautiful culture soaked with more historical contributions to the western world than you're aware of. suicide bombing is a means to wage war when there are no other means available. it's not a random desire simply to die instead of live. if that were the case, why would they fear israeli weapons anyway?
I also love how you hippies throw out racist. Any RACE can be muslim it isn't racist nor phobic just observed. And I don't have a problem with Muslims. And among radical islamofacists suicide is a "common belief". There is no reason to wage war or are you going to give me the vague it US policy that drove them to this Phhhhh. When you say contributions like advancement of human right? NOPE not that one.
don't understand most of your post. let me just note that you said suicide is a common belief in iranian culture, not amongst the infinitesimally teentsy fraction of iranians who resort to suicide bombing. no, it's not a matter simply of american foreign policy. nothing is that simple. but that is a part of it, a huge part, and it must be acknowledged and remedied if we're to achieve security.
Thanks to Kucinich's campaign, I'm realizing more and more the dire need for youth like me(highschool) to take action. Not against officials, not against candidates, but for the human rights and the peaceful order that I believe in.
Thank you Dennis for riling me up to do something. You can be sure that I won't just be going crazy over your name and your campaign but that I'll be spreading your message through my actions and through my words.
And I'll be spreading the word that he's got it all wrong. You better HOPE Iran doesn't get nuclear capabilities. Talk to my kid and he'll put you in your place. Explore more than just a goofy speech that is one sided. Explore history it always repeats itself.
Typically I would just argue with you. But thats not gonna get anywhere anyways. All I will say is that Iraq never did attack us, your right. But Suddam did kill 180,000 of his own people. Dont believe me, go to yahoo and search al-Anfal campaign. That should clear up a lot of your questions.
have you stopped to consider why we chose Iraq specifically, while ignoring other blatantly obvious human rights atrocities going on in the world at the time (darfur, for example,) and throughout history. it was seemingly in our own national interest, and it is undeniable that our government had intentions on iraq way before 9/11. they manipulated and lied to the people. the army lied to you.
ONE, I was in the US Marine Corps, not the Army. Two, They did not lie to me, and your sources are from what, biased websites and the liberal media? THREE, maybe we did already have plans to go in to Iraq. NO ONE will know for sure, all WE can ALL do is SPECULATE... Regardles, someone needed to go in there and take Suddam out of power. And it was done. In your next search function look up AQI (al-Qeada in Iraq). You might find some interesting things in there.
stats from Oxfam and the UN. controversy over any statistics; but these are legit sources. my main point is that iraqi's situation is dire and underreported. my aunt lived in iraq til 04; fled for her life. you have tremendous guts to put your life on the line over there and to try to do some good. but i fear US soldiers are caught in a civil war. the surge has taken out some AQI figures, but keep in mind that AQI came to prominence only AFTER the invasion (i.e, the invasion spawned the group.)
No, it allowed the group to attack american easier. Thats all, and yes that sucks that we are easier targets over there. But better there than innocente Americans here. As soldiers and Marines its our job to fight. So its better that we go over there and do it and not put civilian americans lives at risk on our own soil. But since the war the yhave decided to attack us there. We have been atacked numerous times since 1979 anyway. And whats the source for this info you claim you have?
our own CIA has noted that we are No Safer Now than we were on 9/12. they've noted that iraq has become a breeding grounds/training camp/recruitment center for terrorists, even more angry at the US and schooled in urban warfare. from everything i know and everyone i've talked to, including my own family living in iraq, terrorism was not a problem in the country before the invasion. dictatorship, yes, but this kind of crap, no. AQI came to power after the invasion.
i'm confused about the order of posts and responses. i just sent a message with a bunch of links but i don't think it went up. maybe they have to screen it or something. are you talking about evidence about Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld's intentions about going to Iraq way before 9/11?
quietsheep:"the invasion spawned the group."It did NOT spawn the group it already existed. Don't say things that a blatantly UNTRUE. Granted they ATTEMPTED to fill a void and stirred up the population. But HEROS like JP6tool99 were there to beat them back. JP thank you, for your service.
it's a complex situation, both of us are partly right. the group in its present form did not exist. importantly, they could not carry out active terrorist activities. sadaam, for all his ills, had a strong handle on preventing terrorism. the american presence in iraq did create the vacuum for this group to rise. recently the US has beaten many of the forces back; they have also lost public support for killing civilians.
That should clear up a lot of your questions. You know about WMD's and him being a lot like Hitler as far as killing people goes. Yes he was our enemy and now that he is gone we need to build the country back up so it can stand on its own two feet so we dont have another Suddam in that country. But PLEASE yahoo search that campaign. Unless you are to stubborn to see the REAL truth.
And to answer your next question that you will ask. Hell yes it is our business and Yes we did the right thing by giving those Iraq's a chance at life as well.
Justin (USMC vet. Proud to have served and helped those people)
2.5 million iraqis internally displaced. 1 million slaughtered. 2.5 million living in refugee camps in syria, many without access to food. another 1.5 mil. in Jordan, Iran, Lebanon. fled for their lives. starving. 70% w/out access to water. 80% w/out sanitation. most people unemployed in "absolute poverty." the cause was not honest or just. the results tragic. good soldiers, bad leaders. i'm sorry.
that's 70% without access to water within iraq. same with the 80% without sanitation. the hospital system is in shambles, and the education system is crippled. power is consistently out. innocent people are shot or exploded every day. it's listed as the 1# most dangerous place in the world. we've started a civil war, directly created swarms of new terrorists, and alienated the world. i am not ashamed of you in the least bit, but i am ashamed of my country; and i am certainly not alone.
Well get on the next boat and get the hell out of here then. And on your last post bad leaders, your damn right it was bad leaders and those leaders needed to pay for what they did. We just decided to step up and be the Justice system that the whole worlds should have been on.
And since we have been in Iraq. 90% of all the major city's now have running water and electricity. Just while I was there, we built numerous Clinics and 1 hospital. So we really are doing a lot of good things over there.
THERE are LESS of them everyday. They are/were willing to kill themselves regardless of the invasion. We are just helping them along the world is better without them PERIOD.
If we fail to get the word about this man (Team really -- Elizabeth is just as intelligent and visionary)to every voter in America, we will ahve done our country a grave disservice. Now get to work !
I find Dennis' mind so incredibly quick and holistic. He has always been FOR PEACE. I was incredulous when Congress voted to do anything Bush wanted, especially this WAR, this terribly mistaken WAR. Listen to Dennis' analysis of what would happen if we attacked Iran. Only Dennis has the guts to resolve to impeach Cheney and Bush. He's right! Bush is getting scarier and scarier.
Dennis Cares about the whole planet and all the American People. He isn't corporately owned. We gotta get him into office with the Senate and House on our side to undo the damage of the neocons/Cheney/Bush/Military Industrial War Machine/Corp rulers; no secret government! Lieberman out of office now!
It is time we STOPPED believing that the Rich Cats decide the elections and that Kucinich doesn't stand a chance. It may even be true, but IT'S TIME WE STOPPED BELIEVING IT!!! Let's WORK to get him in! (This means talking to friends and TOTAL STRANGERS - get over your shyness: isn't the Future WORTH THAT???)
TALK to people, tell them to check out Kucinich on YouTube and kucinichdotus, I know of very FEW people that aren't impressed once they HEAR HIM SPEAK. But the Mass Media doesn't WANT them to. So IT'S UP TO US!!!
I stole this one:"DK'08! The planet we save may be our own!"
I only wish both candidates would ease off on the party mentions. More and more Americans have become disenfranchised with both parties and are more interested in issues than party affiliation.
Well I promise you that if as many people that watches these videos would actually get out and do something positive for change then change would definately occur but the media knows most people would rather be dumbed down.
yes time to impeach bush in ernest cheney too at the same time...but I don't want yes woman rice as PRez either...Get all war mongers out of office on all sides...Start with the Republicans!!!! Start now.
One thing I'll point out is that Dennis (or his people) allow YT folks to comment on his videos. Go take a tour of the other candidates on YT and check out their empty comment columns.
There's a video called "Wish" by "palmercampaign" (Rosemary Palmer is trying to oust Dennis from his 10th District seat in Congress). I personally have posted 3 comments (critical, but not abusive) that appeared for a few minutes, then were ERASED. Now they've changed tactics: when you submit, a sign appears "Comment Pending Approval"
(My last comment was a reply [these connections get lost on the main page] to nbwulf (16 hours earlier):"One thing I'll point out is that Dennis (or his people) allow YT folks to comment on his videos. Go take a tour of the other candidates on YT and check out their empty comment columns.")
Turning over our health care to the insurance companies who've ruined it, keeping the war machine alive and well, keeping criminals in power unchecked - that's not the way to win votes.
3)If the Dem Party should be so STUPID and SHORT-SIGHTED as to select a Bush-clone candidate such as Clinton, Obama, or Edwards (the first 2, at least, have ALREADY threatened other countries), Dennis should run as an Independent. His Dream is more important than party loyalty.
Thing is the laws in America are screwed up that Independants never win. It's either Democrat or Republican i'm afrais until someone like Paul or Kucinich does something and changes the Law so smaller parties can get in on the action.
I'm most likely voting independent next year, either for Paul, or kucinich, or possibly Gravel, he would also make a great running mate for anyone. The thing about Paul's ideas, is that they wont work, unless you change the whole system, you can just take some of his ideas and expect them to work with out committing to the rest. So he's got the toughest road to travel, more so than kucinich.
I enjoy the way that Mr Kucinich talks to the audience in this piece. The candidates I always support are the ones that speak like this, with knowledge AND wisdom, facts AND plans, truth AND passion. This is the only democrat I would give a vote to if Ron Paul wins Republican nomination.
I really like what Kucinich has to say. I can't offer him a vote as I re-registered Republican to help another anti-war candidate make the ticket, but when I talk to my Democrat friends I tell them to look up Kucinich and Gravel. Regardless of who you vote for, I think it's great that so many Americans are showing up to these candidates to speak against the war. We the people are helping to make the changes
This is the ONLY candidate who offers us REAL change! Listen to him: Resolving differences by DIALOGUE rather than by mutual, escalating THREATS (leading to the real thing...). What an AMAZING concept. Give 'em Hell, Dennis!
I'm glad you heard about this! The democrats DOT com website has petitions you can sign to support the impeachment. Nothing will happen unless we all speak up.
The media is not going to play fair and it's up to us to get Dennis' name out to all our friends, family and anyone else who will listen. Make it a priority. Take a personal hand in freeing America from the jaws of collapse!
of course, you mean "stud" in a very nebbish kind of way right?

Dennis will be getting my vote on every ballot where his name appears, and I will definitely, without fail, be voting, unless I'm dead.
Dennis needs warm bodies and money. The green stuff. From lots of us people. Numbers of contributors is even more valuable than size of contribution. He's wisely not taking contributions from those eternal, amoral possessors of human rights known as corporations. How about dropping a little coin on Kucinich's campaign?

Ron Paul suggests a tax the same for everyone...like a 20% tax on everything you purchase...the more you buy..the higher the tax...the less you buy the less your tax..sounds fair to me...no more tax hedges for the rich...if you are poor...you won't hav to pay much tax because you can't afford to purchase much...and maybe you can save instead of paying what little you make in taxes.

look up the roll call for the Iraq War Resolution.

So silly.
gbmarshall 4 years ago
Are we going to sit back and let the threats of Ahmadinejad nuking Israel then what? Then you would say we should have done something sooner. We heard the same shit before and after WWII. We can fight a conventional war against Iran. We only need worry about Russia and China siding with them. Why would you talk to someone who denies the holocaust! This guys a loser and a NOBODY!
yourandy 4 years ago
israel has anywhere between 200-400 nuclear weapons. i don't think iran would send a bomb over there that would immediately result in the destruction of its entire country. it doesn't make any sense. furthermore, check the news today: iran suspended its program in 2003. futhermore, if the problem is with israel, let israel deal with it.
quietsheep 4 years ago
Keep reading - they stopped enrichment. They still could have capabilities by 2010 or their about. The problem is IRAN, Ahmadinejad has continually threatened the destruction of Israel and if HE gets capability the WORLD will be drug into WWIII. We won't be the only ones with a nuclear bomb this time. Israel has not EVER threatened the destruction of IRAN. The Chinese and Russians are even afraid of that. Why do you think the Russians left Iran? They were building the reactor now poof - gone.
yourandy 4 years ago
don't buy the fear this time. ahmadenijad is not the commander in chief of iran. he has little power and no foreign policy power. khomeni has issued a fatwa against nukes and his advisers have censured ahmadenijad for questioning the holocaust. iran has never invaded another country, israel has, and iran has reason to fear for its security. look at iraq. the tragedy is that WE make it almost necessary for these countries to amp up their arms for fear of unlawful invasion.

Iran for one because they know it will be mutual distruction. Iranian Islamofacists just crazy enough to beleive that dying is better than living. A common beleif in that culture you know. Look at all of the suicide bombers.
yourandy 4 years ago
your comments are racist. suicide bombing is not a "common belief" in the culture of iran, which, i might add, is a beautiful culture soaked with more historical contributions to the western world than you're aware of. suicide bombing is a means to wage war when there are no other means available. it's not a random desire simply to die instead of live. if that were the case, why would they fear israeli weapons anyway?
quietsheep 4 years ago
I also love how you hippies throw out racist. Any RACE can be muslim it isn't racist nor phobic just observed. And I don't have a problem with Muslims. And among radical islamofacists suicide is a "common belief". There is no reason to wage war or are you going to give me the vague it US policy that drove them to this Phhhhh. When you say contributions like advancement of human right? NOPE not that one.
yourandy 4 years ago
don't understand most of your post. let me just note that you said suicide is a common belief in iranian culture, not amongst the infinitesimally teentsy fraction of iranians who resort to suicide bombing. no, it's not a matter simply of american foreign policy. nothing is that simple. but that is a part of it, a huge part, and it must be acknowledged and remedied if we're to achieve security.

I guess fighting terror oversees is a bad thing. Lets not be on the offensive and let them attack us here is America.
JP6tool99 4 years ago
I don't recall Iraq ever attacking us. If we are fighting terrorists, why don't we bomb Saudi Arabia? Oh yeah, they're our "allie", I forgot.
1warpig 4 years ago
Typically I would just argue with you. But thats not gonna get anywhere anyways. All I will say is that Iraq never did attack us, your right. But Suddam did kill 180,000 of his own people. Dont believe me, go to yahoo and search al-Anfal campaign. That should clear up a lot of your questions.
JP6tool99 4 years ago
have you stopped to consider why we chose Iraq specifically, while ignoring other blatantly obvious human rights atrocities going on in the world at the time (darfur, for example,) and throughout history. it was seemingly in our own national interest, and it is undeniable that our government had intentions on iraq way before 9/11. they manipulated and lied to the people. the army lied to you.
quietsheep 4 years ago
ONE, I was in the US Marine Corps, not the Army. Two, They did not lie to me, and your sources are from what, biased websites and the liberal media? THREE, maybe we did already have plans to go in to Iraq. NO ONE will know for sure, all WE can ALL do is SPECULATE... Regardles, someone needed to go in there and take Suddam out of power. And it was done. In your next search function look up AQI (al-Qeada in Iraq). You might find some interesting things in there.
JP6tool99 4 years ago
stats from Oxfam and the UN. controversy over any statistics; but these are legit sources. my main point is that iraqi's situation is dire and underreported. my aunt lived in iraq til 04; fled for her life. you have tremendous guts to put your life on the line over there and to try to do some good. but i fear US soldiers are caught in a civil war. the surge has taken out some AQI figures, but keep in mind that AQI came to prominence only AFTER the invasion (i.e, the invasion spawned the group.)
quietsheep 4 years ago
No, it allowed the group to attack american easier. Thats all, and yes that sucks that we are easier targets over there. But better there than innocente Americans here. As soldiers and Marines its our job to fight. So its better that we go over there and do it and not put civilian americans lives at risk on our own soil. But since the war the yhave decided to attack us there. We have been atacked numerous times since 1979 anyway. And whats the source for this info you claim you have?
JP6tool99 4 years ago
our own CIA has noted that we are No Safer Now than we were on 9/12. they've noted that iraq has become a breeding grounds/training camp/recruitment center for terrorists, even more angry at the US and schooled in urban warfare. from everything i know and everyone i've talked to, including my own family living in iraq, terrorism was not a problem in the country before the invasion. dictatorship, yes, but this kind of crap, no. AQI came to power after the invasion.
quietsheep 4 years ago
i'm confused about the order of posts and responses. i just sent a message with a bunch of links but i don't think it went up. maybe they have to screen it or something. are you talking about evidence about Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld's intentions about going to Iraq way before 9/11?
quietsheep 4 years ago
quietsheep:"the invasion spawned the group."It did NOT spawn the group it already existed. Don't say things that a blatantly UNTRUE. Granted they ATTEMPTED to fill a void and stirred up the population. But HEROS like JP6tool99 were there to beat them back. JP thank you, for your service.
yourandy 4 years ago
it's a complex situation, both of us are partly right. the group in its present form did not exist. importantly, they could not carry out active terrorist activities. sadaam, for all his ills, had a strong handle on preventing terrorism. the american presence in iraq did create the vacuum for this group to rise. recently the US has beaten many of the forces back; they have also lost public support for killing civilians.
quietsheep 4 years ago
That should clear up a lot of your questions. You know about WMD's and him being a lot like Hitler as far as killing people goes. Yes he was our enemy and now that he is gone we need to build the country back up so it can stand on its own two feet so we dont have another Suddam in that country. But PLEASE yahoo search that campaign. Unless you are to stubborn to see the REAL truth.
JP6tool99 4 years ago
And to answer your next question that you will ask. Hell yes it is our business and Yes we did the right thing by giving those Iraq's a chance at life as well.
Justin (USMC vet. Proud to have served and helped those people)

2.5 million iraqis internally displaced. 1 million slaughtered. 2.5 million living in refugee camps in syria, many without access to food. another 1.5 mil. in Jordan, Iran, Lebanon. fled for their lives. starving. 70% w/out access to water. 80% w/out sanitation. most people unemployed in "absolute poverty." the cause was not honest or just. the results tragic. good soldiers, bad leaders. i'm sorry.
quietsheep 4 years ago
that's 70% without access to water within iraq. same with the 80% without sanitation. the hospital system is in shambles, and the education system is crippled. power is consistently out. innocent people are shot or exploded every day. it's listed as the 1# most dangerous place in the world. we've started a civil war, directly created swarms of new terrorists, and alienated the world. i am not ashamed of you in the least bit, but i am ashamed of my country; and i am certainly not alone.
quietsheep 4 years ago
Well get on the next boat and get the hell out of here then. And on your last post bad leaders, your damn right it was bad leaders and those leaders needed to pay for what they did. We just decided to step up and be the Justice system that the whole worlds should have been on.
JP6tool99 4 years ago
And since we have been in Iraq. 90% of all the major city's now have running water and electricity. Just while I was there, we built numerous Clinics and 1 hospital. So we really are doing a lot of good things over there.
JP6tool99 4 years ago
how has starting a war in iraq made any terrorist any less willing or able to attack us here?
quietsheep 4 years ago
Why worry about trying to get into this great country when you can walk right into Iraq and attack Americans...
