  • Ho! I'll lean on the barricade if I want!!!

  • Dam No Gi is soo much different. More athletetic and explosive. I dont think my knee(snapped cruchit ligament reconstruction) would hold up to it :(

  • @SudoJudo1 Yeah but I feel like you can get away with more in NoGi. It is explosive and fast, but Gi is just grind grind grind. Being a skinny mo fo I can slip my way out in no gi, in gi its another story. But, I am no where near JT or Lepri.

  • looks like he finally met his match .........

  • Yeah lucas trains everyday with world-class black belts. There's a reason Alliance has won the world team 3 years straight or does the 2009 title make 4? All of Lloyd's Black Belts are excellent and most are very young black belts 3-4 yrs in max. So they have to learn the level. Plus Alliance guys have a world-class training camp on a daily basis for the most part. Lloyd's guys dont they'll get better.

  • torres is an upcoming american black belt love or hate llyod irvins program he consistently turns out awesome blackbelts good fight lucas and alliance are really tough

  • @DukeJiboia, ^wrong.

  • @jofiouris why is DukeJiboia wrong?

  • @bjjartist...As I am aware JT Torres came to Lloyd Irvin as a brown belt, promoted to that rank by Louis Vintaloro. Only when he started taking his BJJ career seriously to the point where he required stiffer in house competition, then did he look to make a move to a more tournament / competition oriented program. And his departure from Performance was amicable btw.

  • @jofiouris you are correct he was brown when he came to Lloyd Irvin. Oh now I see what you're saying... Lloyd is profiting off Louis' work is what you mean. Sorry, slow moment there lol. I completely agree.

  • @DukeJiboia lloyd irvin if thats the guy that promotes on talent and not the time put in hes got the right idea.

  • @forsubmoves you're right. However, when you set it up so that one particular student can train everyday is that really fair to your other students? He selects the students he wants to market.

  • @bjjartist..I suppose he sees some sort of undeveloped talent in these students?

  • @jofiouris You may be correct. But for every diamond he makes or any coach(in any sport) makes by hand there are at least 25 more underground waiting to be discovered. Being a former Lloyd Irvin student, I consider myself one of those undiscovered diamonds. Forgive the poetic language.

  • @bjjartist.....and why didn't Lloyd see those qualities in you?

  • @jofiouris I don't know maybe I'll ask him someday. I have cerebral palsy and a curved spine that makes doctor's appointments much more frequent than your average guy not to mention I've had multiple surgeries(I'm talking double digits). So I guess he didn't want people to think he's trying to make money off my story. That may have been his reasoning for not picking me. Ryan, JT and Mike just quit college. Though I admit it picking me would've been genius of him. But that's the past.

  • @bjjartist...sorry to hear of your disability. At least your still training, right? All the Best.

  • @jofiouris nah bud it's cool no need 2 be sorry it's part of me. When I was little I hated it now I feel like I'd be lost w/o it. Yes I'm training left Lloyd Feb 06 for money reasons(medical bills) joined Maguilla BJJ Nov. 08 just got my purple last week.

Thanks for the good wishes same to you.

  • @bjjartist ...congratulations on the Faixa Roxa, toughest belt to get, toughest belt to get out of!!

  • @jofiouris thanks
