I have never heard that version of Jumpin' Jack Flash, do you know what is the version of that song. I ask because there isn't it on Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out.
i have the super deluxe box set with the vinyl!!! got it for christmas! it means a lot to me becuase this album taught me everything i needed to know on how to play the guitar and how to tone it! from Keefs riffs to Mick Taylors ball busting leads! its just a phenomonal piece of history!
Cool but for the love of god, please don't lay your records face down like that....destroys them over time and they lose their value...nice post. thanks
thank you, i could buy the wrong format without realising it...
the reason why this is like this is because when the record was being originally put together, the stones wanted a double set with IKE & TINA TURNER & BB KING but the record company was not interested. now it is a 3 lp set (with cd's)? oh WOW!!! do the liner notes say anything about OVERDUBS and fixed in the studio? one track was in Baltimore...
nuinca paso por mi mente que iba a estar vivo para ver como la tecnologia a avanzado, todavia recuerdo el disco LP que compre de importacion por alla de los añis 70s de este mi grupo favorito, claro queno me voy a perder esta joya musical
I was there. It was the second best show I've ever seen them do. For me, the best show ever was STP in Tuscon '72. I gotta get a copy of Super Deluxe Ya Yas. Thanks for giving us the preview of the actual packaging.
I saw this tour, it was the year that Brian Jones died, and it was thought of as the "Roses" tour. At the end during Street Fighting Man, Jagger threw out buckets of them. The other artists were Terry Reid (Season of the Witch) and Chuck Berry. This was in Chicago in the fall of 1969. To me, it was the Stones at their best form!
StevenGA - Those are great albums you suggested. But i wouldn't call that 'early' work. Their first records were somewhat different. Certainly less complicated...

I think it's a ripoff. The DVD is only 27 minutes long. The camera focuses only on Mick and Prodigal Son is available already on the Gimmie Shelter DVD. It's on You Tube as well. The backstage footage is boring and worth watching only once. The Tina Turner and BB King sets ,though I'm a fan of both acts, are not the Rolling Stones. The Stones had nothing to do with this. It's the assholes at ABCKO that put this out because they own the rights. Damn, I was really looking forward to this.
O I gotcha - U are about to be introduced to the greatest rock n' roll band of all time IMO. If I could give ya any pointers I would say start with some of the earlier stuff first: Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main St. I got hooked on 'em when I was about 7 so have fun you're really gonna like them if ya like rock n' bluesy kinda stuff.
if there are any johnny thunders fans that have this, there is a picture in the book, where jagger is on his knees on stage, you can see thunders in the crowd, before he was famous, let me know if you can spot him
best band in any medium ever, how many can or would stay together for 45+ years(!!!), and be working at such a high level...shine a light was great, can't wait to see what is next....thanks for everything guys...
The Rolling Stones - by FAR the best band that ever stepped on a stage. These guys don't just "play" rock and roll - they ARE rock and roll - they LIVE rock and roll. Beyond any comparison. There will never be another band that lived the music and changed it because they lived it. If you don't know what I am talking about - you need to listen to more of this amazing band.
I have most of their vynil albums - have to buy the Deluxe CDs instead...Do they have Sympathy for the Devil? Then I want Keith Richards' solo albums, I think only to be found on amazon.
Nice! I've collected there albums since '72 but, the best in my life was doing security for them for 6 weeks, 12h per day, practicing here in T.O. a few years back for the SARS event. Eat, drink, sleep, just awesome!
Thank You. What a great idea. I was wondering if the super-deluxe book was larger than the deluxe version! This has helped me to decide which version to purchase and naturally it will be the super-deluxe! Oh bliss! Oh joy!
YOUR NOT MEANT TO TOUCH RECORDS LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!

It's just not the right way to fetch the LP from the sleeve. Keep the ringfinger and middlefinger to LP-label and the LP edge against your thumb.
This just ain't a steady way to handle your precious records and keep them clean from grease and dust.
Anyway a nice Stones box! WOW!

Enough of this digital remastering stuff. Just go back to the original analog tapes and put it on vinyl. The Neil Young reissues are done right.
