my pair does this all the time grrr they never sht up but sooo damn cute lols. they r brothers, and since the third of the trio died its just never been the same, its just two lonely birds jumping all over the place, ill probably get them girlfriends :D
@cuteyPG i wouldnt worry about it..all males have different singing voices, and vary alot from different places and counties even, so there isn't anything wrong with them ^.^ yours just have a different accent lol
I love him!! My male never sang that well!!! I love these birds. I had two of them for almost ten years!! I took wicked good care of them. Never had babies. I tried. I still miss them so much!!
The reason why the calls are different is because they learn from other finches. Each of them has a little "language", so to speak. If you take them very young and from other finches, you can teach them a song you want.
I have 5 zebra finches (it was up to 11 for a time) and a couple of parakeets. They are my roommates now that we have a cat. On weekend mornings when I TRY to sleep in, they are up at the crack of dawn and sound just like this, especially if they hear even the slighted noise from me (even if I just slightly move in bed).. They are very attached to "momma bird" and I am VERY attached to them!! lol
yea tahst so true. Its just like my mom, when ever she go to the bathroom at the night, the zebra(sonu) make a tiny noise. He is so attach to my mom, but he hates. who care I just love him so much, he is so cuteeee
I love zebra finches, too. I had one that lived a long time...his orange cheek patches actually started turning gray! I think he was over 12 years old. That's pretty old for a finch.
i LOVE his song :D the finchs i bought had 3 babies, and the male chick uses the same song the dad does, norm they change it a little, guess its cause it the only song it heard, i like hearing different ones
my grandma started breeding finches about 3 monthes ago and now she has 6 white ones and 6 of the ones in this video. and the white ones have 8 eggs now and the one like in this video have 7 their crazy eho ever wants some tell me!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!
mine started singing too :D but this poor one here was next too gooses... you see the young male learns the singing from the father, or if there is an other animal, from that one... it needs only to hear often. i am lucky, mine was next to a canary :D
i remember when i got my female zebra finch and i was so surprised that she sounded like mehh mehhh and thats it. haha! im looking at my male zebra finch. Hes so cute!!!
Hahaha. Sounds likes ours finches. XD
