Autofire takes a good chunk of the depth and adrenaline rush out of certain shooters like Darius Gaiden. Try getting a single-credit clear without cheating sometime. It's SO much more rewarding and satisfying.

well he did use one or two cheat codes there is no invincibility cheat the only two codes i he used was rapid fire thats a given and maybe the nine creds cause i use the nine creds jus to beat the freakin game and i was lucky to get the original disc of darius gaiden

this player doesn't need to credit-feed. also, rapid-fire isn't really cheating on darius gaiden... that's the way it's played.

WRONG, it's just taken for granted like hell. the Extra version is played with autofire, though.

this applies to a lot of older arcade games; while it doesn't exactly make the game easier, playing with autofire is simply too troublesome

but with Darius Gaiden, oh no, it's insane how easy the game gets with autofire

meh, there's really only the autofire cheat that anyone cares for, and it's pretty common because the game is ridiculously difficult without it

also because for some reason Japanese officials will almost always allow autofire, I guess
