Sacramones performance was terrible during the olympics and was the reason why Team USA lost. With that kind of performance and still made it to the national team, I wonder how many coaches did she have to sleep with in order to get the spot. I'm curious as to the purpose of running with ankle weights. I've not yet seen a sprinter ever train with ankle weights. So, what's your rationale? The same goes for jumping. You'd be much better served doing some type of other resisted running or wearing something like a weight vest for the vertical jumps. When you put weight on the end of a segment, that changes the way that the weight is distributed and may have adverse consequences in the long run with regards to injury risk.
Well weights adds weight meaning its harder to do all the stuff so when they actually go for it it the competeion their legs will look nicer and its a good habit to develop.
Adding weight at the ankles is pretty bad for your joints... so are barfoot one food jumps... no offence but I think that's unnecessary stress for their bodies.
