radiocarbon dating is not "GUESSING" and its considered the most reliable source for dating. The earth dates back billions of years. Of course, we cant be certain and therefore we are allways a couple million years off. 6,000 years is just not coherent with all the discoveries made in the past 100 years and saying they are wrong because of a fictional book is pushing it.
Carbon dating can only measure up to around 80,000 years or so as carbon constantly decays (and even still the process is based on conditions and variables we only guess the earth had 'millions' of years ago). So carbon dating can't be used to measure something supposedly millions of years old.
But we can agree that if the process indicates a value of over 80,000, then it's implied that it is at least 100,000 and that is way over 6,000 years old. Just wondering, are you saying the earth is about 6,000 years old?

I would just like to say I'm a Christian, and I believe in Jesus and a coming judgement. I would just like to argue that through out time there have been tragedies like these, the only difference is now we can record them and put music to it. You could make a equally convincing video during WW2 if we had the technology to record every event. How would the human population get any bigger if all there is, is one family. Incest would have had to occur if what the Bible says is true - that we are all descended from Adam and Eve. Then according to the Bible there was the flood and Noah's sons and their wives propagated the earth. Incest was not 'banned' until the Law came into effect around 1500 years after Adam (the time of Moses).

Before the Law and 10 Commandments, God allowed certain things. Then during the Law, it was all about rules (don't do this, don't do that). People had to sacrifice livestock for sin. Then Christ came and Christians believe His sacrifice covered their sins so it's no longer so much about rules as it is about loving God and "do unto others". Hope that helps.

How would the human population get any bigger if all there is, is one family. Incest would have had to occur if what the Bible says is true - that we are all descended from Adam and Eve. The Bible teaches us that incest is a sin. Explain.

@CoN0R115 Genesis 5:4 states that Adam had other sons and daughters in his lifetime. According to general christian belief, that's where Cain got his wife (one of his sisters). Then according to the Bible there was the flood and Noah's sons and their wives propagated the earth. Incest was not 'banned' until the Law came into effect around 1500 years after Adam (the time of Moses).

1. Adam had the other children with Eve (guess you didn't read the scripture).
2. Yes incest would have to occur if there's limited people on the earth. If your perspective is evolution, then incest would also have to occur once man evolved and started to reproduce.
3. God never said incest was a sin in the NT. It was a Law in the OT, 1500+ years after Adam and Eve. Christians would say God allowed incest for a time for reproduction.

@CoN0R115 Hi, I'm not trying to change your beliefs, just giving you the christian explanation. To christians, this isn't a contradiction. Before the Law and 10 Commandments, God allowed certain things. Then during the Law, it was all about rules (don't do this, don't do that). People had to sacrifice livestock for sin. Then Christ came and Christians believe His sacrifice covered their sins so it's no longer so much about rules as it is about loving God and "do unto others". Hope that helps.
