Another factor could be he uses specific terminology to give us the illusion he knows what he's talking about, and is a lot more intelligent that he is really is. He's also one of the people that when someone confrontates him, and challenges his arguments on certian things, he ignores the parts that actually have a point, and talks about the flaws, as in "PWNED".
