  • As an Organist, I would like to thank you for doing this piece. It is so important that we let people in the general public know that the Music for the Pipe Organ and Playing the Pipe Organ is on a huge Renaissance and is WELL Alive. It is NOT dead. As a matter of fact, the renaissance is now more exciting than ever. Schools of Music that have always been known for having great Organ and Church Music Departments are getting better with brand new Organs and fine students!

  • Nice, i didn't know that pipe organ companies we're using solid state equipment!!

  • Only for the last 30 years or so...

  • It depends on the organ builder, the requirements the organ needs to meet, and the space the organ will be living in. Many organ builders will use modern technologies. However for the two decades there has been a movement back to old fashion mechanical action or tracker action organs as they ooffer organists better tactile feel and more control over attack and decay of a playing note than more modern solid state and electro-pneumatic action organs.
