My dog hated water... absolutely hated rain.. it was funny.. if she was running around and bumped her water bowl.. shed stop.. check to see if she got anything on her... and go lay down.. or if we went out for a jog.. and it rained.. she would start tugging for a tree to sit under.. and just plop down.. totally unwilling to budge. Basenji's are top dogs.. and so much fun.. loads of personality and character.
Not all basenji's. each one is unique. Mine loves water, baths, pools [dog park pools,too] . But once he's done with his play time in the water and sud bath is over, he goes on my bed and starts cleaning himself off like a cat , lol....
My basenji mix loves to play in the sprinkler ;)

mine wont go near water lol...not the sea, wont go out in the rain i live in scotland so its always raining lmao...yea poor max (my basenji) lol
