2. I copied the whole folder with the applications and anything else into "Program Files". I do not know how important that is, but when the folder was on the desktop, it did not get it working.
3. I followed the video. It seems that you always need to repeat 4 steps (in that order, at least others did not work for me):
3.1 Disable and then Enable the "Universal Software HID device" in the device manager. Seems that this has to be repeated always after Windows starts up. (If you do not have a touch event generating device on you computer, the "pen and finger" settings may only now be opened - at least I did not find them earlier)
3.2 Start "Multitouch.Service.Console.exe" (see the video for the expected output. After that step your mouse might not work any more (the transparent one you see in the video only works after the next step). So you should be prepared to do the following steps with the keyboard. (I used Alt+TAB to go to the Desktop, end the cursor keys to start shortcuts).
3.2 ...continued If it works you may already move red points for each mouse connected. But Windows touch events seem only to be generated after the next step.
3.3 Start: "Multitouch.Driver.Console.exe". Now Windows Touch events should be generated when you click and drag one of your mice (on some windows the red points disappear, then you need to use the transparent mouse, also to open the task bar)
3.4 If the mouse is still generating events too (the mouse pointer is visible and moving whenever you move one of your mice), then you need to start "Multitouch.Configuration.WPF.exe", select "MultipleMice" and click on "Configure device", and enable the only checkbox in the window that appears.
@nesherhh I sorted it... problem was that I hadn't put the quotes on the line Install drive.cmd - should have typed "Install driver.cmd" including quotes... now all is good :)
Hi, I've been trying to get ur driver to work on W7x64 ultimate running over a tx1000 since HP drivers are not to be found anywhere, I got the Refresh2 file from the Codeplex's website and try running the 64 version (no use, don't know why but it keeps showing incompatible), so I tried running the 32 ver, no problem installing but it doesnt work, besides the folders u have on this video...where are they????
@fenrriho try this in conjunction with the multitouch driver - there is a readme file that gives instructions of how to install the multitouch drivers too - I;ve copied the relevant bit below. I'm running Windows 7 64bit Ultimate N. It works fine after following those instructions. It does look very different to the video here...
For all of you guys who came here from multitouchvista.codeplex.com, The first few folders don't exsist in "MultiTouchVista - second release - refresh 2.zip" They are ALL in the MultiTouchVista - second release - refresh 2.zip folder.
IF you can't find them, just unzip the file, and search for the things he uses. Pause the video to look at what the file name is that he uses and search for them in the unzipped folder
could you answer some noob questions for me? 1) Does CCV have to be running for this to work? Or does it get the settings from the file without it running? How does that work? 2) Does this make the program run at windows startup? If not, how would i do that?

I got multiple mice to Windows touch event conversin working with Multi-Touch Vista on x64 Windows 7.
1. I followed ttcFANIC's cmment at another video (important to open the cmd.exe as admin):
1.1 Click Start > type: "cmd" > right click on 'cmd.exe' and run as administrator.
1.2 Navigated to the location where the Multitouch driver files were unzipped using the 'cd' command.
1.3 Continued navigating into the 'Driver' folder and then the 'x64' folder (as i was running 64 bit Windows 7)

wait, so the project is called "Multi Touch Vista" yet there is only support for Windows 7?
Douche082 2 years ago
@Douche082 : The project started long before Windows 7 appeared. You can see on other videos that it was possible to manipulate windows on Vista.
The multitouch driver is supported only Windows 7, because Vista does not have native multitouch-

1) What setting do you mean? CCV provides only touch coordinates. But you can use any other input provider.
2) Actualy it is possible to run this as a windows service.
