  • Last run looked like it had a bad valve or piston ring. Good vid, though! Lovin' the dentsides!

  • SOOO MANY 79 FORDS!!!!! YESSS

  • Wow...more than meets the eye! (Maybe not YOUR eye. Nothing new there in your experience.) Do you guys ever do the oval dirt track thing? Seems that would be pretty entertaining. (I guess roll -over would be a real problem?) Still... would be so neat to see lotsa drifting and stuff goin' on.

  • A dumb question: is it due to the weight difference, or HP (or just what,) that gives the dragster- type cars better times? Are they on better fuel?

  • @wqpeb its a combination of horse power, wheel speed, traction, suspension setup and driver skill

  • @mudfreak79 Just to add to this question: Does extra weight help the tires 'bite down' for traction? (with in reason)

  • @32bitcal depends on the setup, basically the lighter you are, the more agrresive tread you'll need. I like to be as light as possible, if you can stay on top, you will be MUCH faster then someone going to find the bottom for traction.

  • Thats one of the most super stock trucks i have seen at one event in a wile. Nice! Oh and your new truck rocks, and the open rear lets the mud fly away instead of makeing your truck heavier.

  • horsepower + paddle tires= success

  • Thanx! Far as i know we got nothing so good up here north of the 49th.

  • i gotta say you have to get her muddy every now and then we all know u had a blast doing it!!!!!!!

  • Another great vid, and congrats on 1st.

  • good job nice truck still like the old bed better but this one is liter i'am shore.i just got a new platinum i wish it had your motor in it ;)

  • another great video!! thanks man!!

  • so are you going more towards mud races and draging with this set up instead of bogging?

  • @fordfan855 yes, the deep bog holes are getting old, too hard on big expensive engines, axles etc etc not to mention the hours and hours of cleaning. Plus single truck bog passes are boring, lining up beside another truck on the timing tree is WAY more exciting!!!

  • @mudfreak79 Must say I am in close agreement. This is so much more intense, and all that 'loonshit' probably does no good. Save the deep, wet, mud hole stuff for the outback voyages.

  • your truck just isn't the same with the new look, granted it's still a beast. It'd still be great if you could find out where the guy drivin the white 70s f150 got that windshield visor from. i'm sure it's not your priority but that'd be great if you could find out and let me know.

  • @ndubb1 nope it sure aint the same, the old truck was heavy and slow compared to this one!! The visor I'm pretty sure is a old Lund version, but I dont think they make them anymore, check LMC truck.

  • @mudfreak79 your truck might have been heavy. but it had style. untill you put that bed on it...and mudding and drag racing with your truck with style is what its about. it's a shame your bed is gone in your videos i really enjoyed seeing the nice style look.

  • @ndubb1 check out 74shocker's channel on youtube for more mud.
